I totally agree. The 996TT manuals have been trending up for the last few years, but not really at a high rate. I love looking at BAT, but I feel that the true “driver’s cars” are always devalued a bit and the “garage queens” are way overpriced. If you average those, the prices have been pretty flat.
Totally agree!
I also don’t see McLaren moving away from Sainz and Norris anytime soon. Norris was properly quick this year and just had some horrible luck else he would have really given his much more experienced teammate a run for this money in the standings. You can even see him pushing his racecraft more and more and towards the…
A buddy of mine has one of these things. Great grand touring car and sounds really angry (at least from the outside).
If owners do flog it around a track as intended, I would have some serious reservations about the range.
We come for the cars, and stay for the abuse :)
You’re not alone. I really enjoyed Tanner, Rut, and Adam. It was clear that they didn’t click with the original format of the 1st season. Those in-studio celeb segments were BRUTAL... Once they got out on the open road, it was highly enjoyable. Just 3 friends messing around in cars.
Ah, my mistake. My mind immediately went to the old Detroit Diesel 6.2L 60 series 2 stroke.
Missed opportunity to call it a “2-stroke of genius” in the headline!
I get what you’re saying, but I also think that’s one of the reasons that the model didn’t live on in subsequent generations (like a Miata). It was a little too focused where you couldn’t daily live with it without making compromises.
You’re spot on with the watch analogy. Some folks buy it because it’s capable for certain feats (like going 100m), but then won’t even get it wet when they wash their hands.
Is the RX8 really that bad? Never driven one.
I enjoyed that as well. If the old guy was just cool about the proof of insurance on a smartphone, he could have gotten away with an at fault accident and without that ticket. I love karma :)
40% perkele, 40% sisu, and 20% dontgiveacrapwhat you think
I’ve never heard of that... Who the heck does that??
Petsmart have security guards? Man, that’s a rough neighborhood....
I’m pretty sure Daniel got the idea from this guy in Moto GP:
OMG, you should have totally gone with that title. I almost spit out my lunch reading that...
Yup. Lots of tech company $$ here in Seattle which means lots of disposable income. I regularly see a purple Demon at the local Saturday cars and coffee here. It doesn’t look like that particular one is driven much, but the guy does make it out to C&C once in a while.
