If you are any kind of a celebrity, you just have to assume that he’s going to carry on *unless and until* you plant your lips on his soggy butt. If anyone was going to take a hard stance against Drumpf it would be the USWNT. They take shit from no one. Take notes Pelosi.

Following the USWNT pretty closely, I can’t imagine any of them would actually attend. A good number are LGBT, including the head coach. 3 of the players have already said they wouldn’t attend, if invited (2 are captains - Rapinoe & Morgan). 

I’d be hard-pressed to come up with one player or coach on that team who would want to go meet him.

On Tuesday, when Rapinoe told Eight By Eight, “I’m not going to the fucking White House,”

I hope if they win the whole team does not go. And when asked why they should just release a video or statement of all the fucked up things Trump has said about women and his policy with gays and that be it.

I mean, I’m with Rapinoe 100% on this, but can we talk about how delightful the picture of her is at the top. Every time it’s used, it is bringing me a modicum of joy, for which I am greatly appreciated of.

I was flipping around on the radio this morning and heard Clay Travis bloviating on this very subject. Said she was missing an opportunity to sit down with Trump and talk about the issues she has with him, like that would be a fruitful endeavor.

By going, you’re tacitly supporting his stance. He’s clearly anti-LGBTQ, so it would fly in the face of everything Rapinoe stands for. It’s the same with a lot of minority athletes; Trump only cares about POCs as long as they are serving him drinks at Mar-A-Lago. That’s why athletes that have won the Superbowl & NBA…

Because Trump is demonstrably incapable of just having a photo op.
