@Cochese 2.0: I agree, but the system really falls apart when the bagging are has a weight sensor that will not let you continue scanning until the appropriate amount of weight has hit it. @SkipErnst: The real problem is people's perception of the line. It looks longer therefor it must take longer right? Obviously it wouldn't, but from what I understand people would complain about the length of the line (not realizing that they were actually moving much faster) so many stores abandoned the idea.

I love that finally, Apple has some real competition in the Smart Phone category that is forcing it to push forward as well. I'm an Android user, but if either one begins to excel we all win because the other quickly fights to catch up and surpass.
