It seems to me like the studios should just push for a "buy it now" button on their streaming movies. As with many in the comments below, I like to watch a movie before I buy it and with a lack of time and funds never make it to the theater.

New media is still media, guys! In fact, you could argue that it's the media. So let's all play nice in the sandbox.

Has Gingerbread been released yet? I wonder how long or how many iterations will be out before they finally are able to start getting everyone up to speed with the latest, if a "latest" ever comes.

@LombardoJoe: the 7 foot tall dude looks like Michael Richard's and Elvis' love child.

I think it's funny when they go to the control room at 3:37 and one person is lookingat like 15 monitors of water and the person at the end of the room is looking at a monitor quartered showing other people's work stations.

Suck it Gym.

Anyone for eggs? They are a little crunchy, but the leftovers should last forever.

Ahhh e-books. Doing the same thing to books as all of these "easy to use music maker softwares" has done to music. Now, with a computer you can be both a musician and an author, even if you have little to no skill at all.

And Pink Floyd says, "alright, I quit."

@AkkiRonin: I think you're right, that's why it is so difficult to do a helicopter rescue when a submarine is involved. I think they may have done something with that in "The Hunt for Red October"...

@hubris140: For it to work, it would have to be at least.....twice as big.

@bitslammer: It's not just about survival....Sometimes you just gotta hop.

@theubersmurf: Right up until you mix in beer drinking fisherman shooting each other with it...

@Pope John Peeps II: I think one of the bigger issues that you did not bring up is that (from reading the article, I haven't delved into any other source at this point) they are trying to make it so that all communications are encrypted using a system that they have a universal key for, not just requesting an

@nigma.ed: I tend to agree with your assessment. I've always had issues with how "officials" obtain warrants, but at least that is a measure to keep them from randomly tapping Joe Citizen with no probable cause what-so-ever.

I have 2 young daughters who would love this, but I imagine the price tag is a little high for the novelty of the thing.

It's pretty amazing how something as simple as a water gun can evolve from some pvc and a 2-liter bottle to a backpack fed reservoir with constant pressure that can unload 3 gallons of water in less than 10 seconds. Oh the soaking wet fun (just please ... not in the face).

This is such a throw-back to the cold war days when the U.S.S.R. would have their parades of power. I don't know if it was presentation, or the "enemy at hand" but they were way scarier than this display.

Those weapons don't even look like they are made out of cardboard!
