The reality of all of this is that there will be no return to the “normal” that we are accustomed to.

“People feel “entitled” to summer, and they refused be denied.”
We were talking about this the other day. It’s one thing to keep people on lockdown in the US when it’s cold outside. But once we have weather above 60, I wonder how well social distance will be maintained?
I think it’s going to be real crazy once the…
No chance this ends soon. The US is probably one of the hardest countries to flatten a curve due to our distrust of authority and inability to act in favor of any other interests other than our own. People fight tooth and nail to maintain the ways of life they see fit, regardless of how that way of life could…
It’s not that you have nothing to look forward to. This will end eventually, as these things always do. The point is that if you are holding out hope that this is going to be over in two weeks, it’s a false hope, and you’re only hurting yourself with it.
American Exceptionalism at its best. Speaking for most of America, this looked like a pretty isolated Seattle/West Coast problem until probably early March.
I mainly think this is going to continue in phases. For a lot of America, it isn’t even real yet. And that should be a good thing, but the trend has been that places aren’t issuing stay at home directives until it arrives. Only 30 states have issued these types of directives.
Oh, look, more “rules don’t apply to me” assholes! Behavior like this will totally not prolong the duration of this global catastrophe!
I know it’s a pipe dream (ba-dum PSH), but a Super Mario RPG remaster maybe?
Fuck you for making me hungry for BBQ chicken.
Telling managers to defy police and local municipal orders sounds pretty frantic to me.
Similar except for the nap. Children generally don’t allow that luxury..
Same here... wake up to login about 8am... nap from 10-12... nap from 5-8, then bed around 1am. Way too much sleeping.
Where do I start....
My sleep habits have also fallen off the deep end. Last week it included long after work naps, but this week I’ve exchanged them for even more video game time.
uh....so much week night drinking
Too many communication channels just equals more ways for my co-workers and I to confuse and piss each other off.
Embrace the weirdness, guys. I’m on a virtual meeting and I don’t really have to participate, so I turned off my camera and I’m drinking beer.
If you file your 2020 taxes and your income is way less than the amount your relief payment was based on, you’ll get an additional refundable credit toward your 2020 return. So you might get a larger refund than you expect. But say you make a whole lot more in 2020 by some stroke of luck. The government won’t take…
I’m afraid I don’t understand the last bit, how it will affect next year’s taxes. Is this going to increase my taxes/reduce my refund/something else? I’m well below the maximum for the full amount, and in an “essential” job, so (hopefully) my income will be about the same this year as last.
Might want to wait until the House passes this thing, without amending it, before we’re sure of the final details.
