Congratulations! or rather, omedetou! There’s plenty of great places, it kind of depends on where exactly you’re staying / what train lines you’ll be near. I was staying in Kasugai attending Chubu University, and was located near the Chuo JR line, so we often gathered around Kanayama and Chikusa, where’s there’s tons

Nagoya is great place, with plenty of great eats and places to go. I met my wife there while studying abroad at Chubu University, so in a sense it became my home away from home that I visit every few years. Shout out to check out the video game bar Critical Hit, it’s one of the few remaining gaming bars shops that

Interesting note. I haven’t tried recalibrating it because it tends to work most of the time. I should note that this is with a docked launch switch, and I don’t recall it happened with joycons or in handheld mode.

I’ve been experiencing this recently using my Switch Pro Controller during Mario Maker stage creation sessions — without warning, the cursor starts scrolling to the right and I have to interrupt it with another input to stop it.

Came here to post the same thing! Sign me up for a slice..

How’s the framerate in the Switch version? I played the original in Japanese on my PS4, and then picked up the Switch demo of DQB and noticed the framerate would dip a bit and controls felt a tad sluggish.

Will pick up regardless, just curious...

I know it seems like the story every year, but getting the vibe this is the leakiest pre-E3 to date... Am I wrong to think this?

you could say there were shots fired...

Bloodborne was my first game to get a Platinum trophy in, so that kind of sums it up for me.

If you are going for trophies at the end, be sure so make a backup of your save file prior to the final boss fight to get the different endings.

Perhaps on the plus side of what content is left, clearing the chalice dungeons

The moment during the Zemus/Zeromus fight in Final Fantasy II / IV where all the previous party members show up to heal your party was dope! Followed by an awesome last battle, that blew my 12 year old mind at the time.

Hi Peter, thanks for writing this, this was an excellent dive into a classic I also hold very near and dear to my heart.

Reading this an immediately all the music started popping into my head - especially the final palace, the awakening of Zelda, and the closing credits. Goose bumps even now as I think about it while

Whoa, I was at this show! This was at Brooklyn Bowl back in 2011. This was my first time seeing Cibo Matto, it was after they reformed after taking some time off. They totally nailed! Was a real treat when they brought out Sean Lennon to sing this one - I guess he had been on the album, but I hadn’t expected to see

May you find your worth in the waking world :)

Amen. Here’s to hoping both see releases here. Considering Faxanadu was published by Nintendo of America, I’d say it stands a really good chance... but then again, those smoking key vendors could prove to be a small snag.

Battle of Olympus would also be a welcome addition, assuming they can acquire the license.

My suggestion if y’all are thinking of streaming - would be cool to have Kirk come on for some co-op play! That would bring some fun dynamics into the mix.

Nice score! My understanding is it’s pretty rare, sounds like a nice gem in the collection. Never played it, but that’s all about to change here soon.

It’s a thing here in NYC -- just got my AirDrop troll images on the NYC subway last week... incidentally, on my way to Book-off. I couldn’t help but think my bad for leaving my guard down! Fortunately it was nothing too gross, but there was definitely some whack photos that were sent over...

In no particular order...

Great round up, Brian! Glad you got to take the tour. Will definitely keep this guide handy next time I’m Tokyo bound.

I think my favorite picture was the Mario Bros. cabinet with Sega logo on top ;)

Curry-ya is another go to in NYC - it’s in East Village over on 10th st. Narrow place with a proper counter for eating, and a good mix of styles (roux, dry). They even have a Japanese washlet (bidet) in the bathroom with business cards for the local Toto sales rep.

I too am a huge fan of curry rice, but Go Go
