Yep, I think it’s primarily a matter of form factor, it’s much easier to hold a 3DS in a crowded train where you can comfortably lock your arms to your sides, whereas with the Switch you kind of have to spread out your arms for things to be comfortable. Also, the clamshell of the 3DS is much easier than having to bust

Yes and no... while I can’t back this up from personal experience, everything I’ve heard is that you still really don’t see folks busting out their Switches on the trains in Japan, not like they would during those halcyon DS and PSP days, anyways. Still predominantly mobile from what I gather, and 3DS family as a

Does that employee have a Splatoon-alphabet tattoo?

Like most folks here, I have so many great memories associated with this game. Here’s one of my favorites from recent times:

A few years ago at Christmas, after finishing opening presents, my wife “one-more-thing” gifted me a SNES cart of Chrono Trigger. I was floored - that’s a damn tough gift to top! It was a very

I have the original Dark Souls on PC, and have it running like butter there. The Switch purchase is more about having a good hard core game for on the go. I personally have no problem waiting a little longer — I wouldn’t mind a bit of a break from the genre after playing Bloodborne non-stop the last month+.

Thank you, I hear its a real doozy. I’ve been focusing on leveling Vitality in preparation for that -50% vitality penalty.

Interesting, given they had this playable last week, and from what I gather those who beelined it to check out Blighttown described it as running smoothly. But I’m totally fine with them doing any further small tweaks to get it right.

I’m still working on my platinum trophy in Bloodborne at the moment (getting really

Galaga in the arcade, played with my dad with me perched up on a stool. He would steer and I would fire. Must’ve been about 4-5 years old at the time. I still remember getting a score of 12,000 and feeling my first gamer success. Good times!

Fun fact: Nintendo Guy has been on both episodes of Nintendo Power podcast, if y’all want to hear more from him.

Because he’s Rockman! :)

Very similar story for me. I played my first game of (vs.) Super Mario Bros. at a Pistol Pete’s in Dallas, sometime in late ‘86-early ‘87, before anyone I knew had an NES. Suffice it to say, the game is just brutal if you don’t know how to play Super Mario Bros.

I think it was the attitude that I liked about Jose. He might be over the top, but it was genuinely founded. I’ll give it another listen, I’ve only listened to one or two episodes since Filip took over as main host, but he also has good hosting chops.

To be honest, I haven’t given enough listens since Filip took over, but I did enjoy the episode I heard. Will give ‘em another shot!

That would be rad! I’d love to hear some of their crazy stories.

Here’s to hoping they can get Jose Otero on the show as a regular, now that he’s in-house at NOA. I must admit, I kinda stopped listening to NVC podcast after he parted ways this past summer. Here’s to hoping to hear him there!

And, congrats to Chris Slate and the rest of the crew for making this happen! Now we’re

I dig it. It’s a nice spin on a classic that doesn’t sound too remixed. Yes, I’m down with the Vaporwave version.

It’s interesting that both XIV and XV, while totally different games, launched so incomplete at launch, and anyone that picked them up at launch becomes a Beta tester, without them calling it as much. It’s amazing then how much XIV turned itself around - essentially becoming a vastly improved experience with the

You could always get a Switch..

Now that’s what I call Doki Doki Panic!!
