What is Kotaku most looking forward to going into E3 2016?
What is Kotaku most looking forward to going into E3 2016?
True, but no Xbox 360 / Xbox One / PC support for P5.
The only real merit I see to this approach is it becomes a slick part of a demo reel if you're trying to land a job in the industry. I can't imagine that they thought they could see this one trough to full game release, especially based on the approach they took with making it public, but at least they can cut their…
Exactly! It really does feel like a letdown that it wasn't more fleshed out, even a tad. Guess they were too busy cooking up the devilish Master Quest, which, all things considered, more than made up for a single boss fight.
One fond memory of my first play-through at the age of 10: the first time I got to Ganon. I didn’t know about having to finish him off, so I would just keep swinging, and eventually run out of life from the all the flying projectiles. I even wrote a song in my head I can still recall:
“I can get to Ganon!
I can get to…
So good to finally see Japanese game devs firing on all cylinders for PS4- this video really drives that home. Cool jam to boot!
The correct answer is BOTH!
They’ve explained it before and they can explain it again. I, for one, would love to see a mix of elements from SMB2/DDP introduced to courses: stackable blocks, Shyguy cannon cars, Pidget and his magic carpet, and even a classic Birdo egg slam could be a lot of fun.
Excellent piece, Jason! Perfect mid-lunch read.
Exciting times! I think we’ll start to see a slow drip of technical details or at least proposed specifications over the next few months leading up to the big reveal, which should fill in a lot of blanks, then a next proper shot of developer’s feedback at GDC in Mid March 2016 (e.g., are devs excited to work on it?…
Dragon Quest 7!!! Finally region unlocked my 3DS via the YouTube app exploit. And yes, I bought a legitimate copy of DQ7 to boot (Not like it’s getting released here in the States...)
Destiny: TTK and my Mario Maker bundle both set to arrive on 9/15... will be taking some time off work to balance that out.
Mega Man…
I finally through in the Wii U wait-it-out towel and bought the Mario Maker bundle - two weeks seems like such a long wait at the moment!!
Hmm.. first review with the updated Kinja layout and yet the review features the same craptastic non-indexable static image file. Good job, Gawker! (And Chris, I realize you had nothing to do with this — sorry you had to get caught up in my rant)
The widget would only need to run on the main site content for Kotaku, which is Kinja based, but not necessarily all Kinja blogs. Consider this for a workflow: As Kotaku staff begin to compose their review, they would have access to a dedicated section that would let them put in the necessary fields for the review:…
Yes, this would be HTML + CSS, but the point being HTML instead of say, a JPG.
Not sure if I fully get what you’re pointing out here, but as a web developer, I’m thinking it can’t be that hard to add a new widget to the Kinja post editor that takes these values and renders them nicely on the page. Or, perhaps it is, which is why they haven’t done it. Still, I can’t be the first person that…
Or perhaps — wait for it — use HTML?
I imagine so too, quite a bit, and perhaps they are waiting to do any further Directs until a proper successor has been named. And perhaps they are re-evaluating the format of the show, too. Still! I miss the Directs.
Yet another Nintendo announcement today (the other being Picross 3D 2) without a Nintendo Direct to put this out there. I miss my Nintendo Directs! Hopefully they’ll get a proper one together soon.
So, was this announced via the Japanese-only page that popped up on Nintendo’s JP site? I wonder how many more games will be announced like this until they return to the Nintendo Direct format (assuming they do in the post-Iwata era).
