As noted, this is ultimately a strategic gambit of creating controversy to sell products, i.e., one more example of the cynicism at the core of capitalism.

It’s like the Million Moms (I think? It’s been a hot minute) getting all up in arms about the biracial Cheerios ad.

I’ve been diving deep into discussions about this ad on my social media lately and men still can’t tell me why they are specifically upset about this commercial.  It just gets sidetracked about politics, religion, etc.

Hmmm. So, now I have to say “My door just became loopy?” That might take some getting used to, so I am gonna have to think about that one... :)
