So weird. My thought process on this went from ‘oh there’s no way someone actually did this, it’s got to be an SWB model that nobody knows about’, but after like ten minutes of googling Austin America pictures (which is like 9 minutes too long), I’m confident that nope, this didn’t roll out of the factory.

I was just about to say how fantastically well it aged. The C4 is brilliant inside and out.

Wait, are the headlights... in the windshield frame?

I enjoy Hamilton’s screeds far more than Alyssa Walker’s. He at least seems to understand that his ideas are nothing but deeply unpopular quasi-fascist utopian bullshit, whereas the sheer earnestness of Walker’s writing makes me hope she gets hit by an electric bus.

Sounds like some excuse-making to me. I doubt these people would come out and say ‘yeah we over-stressed the lugs, hub, sidewalls, suspension, etc., and that’s why it broke’

I didn’t say it was, but when the NSX prices itself out of reach of most collectors, the VR4 will become a more attractive second choice, and that will in turn drive their prices up.

Good VR4's are already getting $20k, and they’re at the bottom of their depreciation curve. The 240Z bottomed out at what, $1,500? Also, the classic market really only took off recently. For most of the last forty years, you could have gotten a Porsche 356A for five grand also.

Between the value of the car increasing and twenty years of inflation, I can see it no problem.

In twenty years, yes. Believe it.

Nooooooo no no no.

That head-on shot of the Chiron is wonderful. It almost looks like it could be a luxury sedan.

The grille is fine, but that color was awful. Grey or silver is definitely the way to go.

I basically hate new cars as a general rule, but the AMG GT is on my very short list of cars I’d actually buy; I think it’s brilliant. I’ve actually avoided going into a Mercedes showroom because I didn’t want to end up buying one on the spot after sitting in it.

Yup exactly this.

The regulations have gone far beyond what was necessary for trade.

The EU is finished as an experiment in transnational governance, and they’re going to have to come to terms with that. It will survive as a trade zone (which is what it was always supposed to be) and that’s it.

Maybe some. Maybe not. Either way life will go on. The UK and Germany sell plenty of cars over here in the US and China and everywhere else and we’re not part of the EU. It’ll all be fine. Totally fine.

Everyone needs to stop pretending that the EU invented trade. The UK will negotiate similar trade deals with the eurozone, nobody is going back to 1972, and it’ll all be fine.

No, it’s inappropriate pandering bullshit. The NYPD supports the gay community by arresting terrorists and people who do violence against gays.

That is utter bullshit. Utter and complete bullshit. I actually feel bad for you if you really believe that.
