Okay. Real good then.

Ya okay there Margie?

Obligatory:

THE FUTURE

Jesus Christ, the opening titles for this show are so unbelievably terrible. Like, Masters of Sex bad.

I'm excited to see this. It's very fashionable to shit on Nic Cage, or to like him ironically, but he really is a fantastic actor. I was trying to express this to my incredulous girlfriend the other day, just by going through his IMDB and listing his credits.

Good point! I guess part of the reason I find them so off-putting is that they hit a little too close to home, in terms of people I knew and spent time with growing up and don't care to ever see again.

Great, great movie, but are the characters really "likable?" I think they're all pretty insufferable.

I'd argue that John Adams is more of a political drama and less of a war drama, but point taken.

Flea Bottom Street Blues

I own the rights to "fantasy." Can I sue Tolkien's estate?

Lowball

The Man with the Golden Schlong

Not so much a reinvention, but Nic Cage could certainly start choosing roles that are equal to his talents. Joe looks like it's a step in the right direction.

I disagree with all the hate this is getting. It's certainly rough, but overall, I enjoyed the pilot and I think it has a ton of potential. Jamie Bell and Heather Lind are great, and while the British antagonists are certainly villainous, they aren't nearly as cartoonish as Jason Isaacs/Tom Wilkinson in The Patriot

I was waiting for it all episode!

USA! USA! USA!

I mean, it goes without saying, but that show absolutely set the stage for every epic series with a huge ensemble cast currently airing on cable. Even more than Sopranos, I think.

I always saw them as Spaniards, but without the Catholic hangups. They both love to nap and eat olives though.

It isn't said nearly enough. The fact that Rome hasn't been rediscovered by everyone who watches Thrones is kind of unbelievable to me.
