Huh. I actually turned the pilot off in the middle because I thought it was so horrendous. Surprised to hear the opposite.

I always see Richard Kind on the Upper West Side and once, I decided to tell him that I was a big fan. He acted and sounded exactly like cousin Andy from Curb but overall he was a really nice, gracious guy.
Wow, didn't even realize there was a silent adaptation. I just looked it up and it sounds awesome. Where did you find it?
The episode that always stuck out for me is the one with the villain who has the device that allows him to phase through walls. It malfunctions at some point and the guy is just falling through the floors of a big highrise with Terry chasing him down the stairs trying to catch him. Eventually, he becomes completely…
"You remind me of the babe."
"What babe?"
"The babe with the power."
"What power?"
"The power of voodoo."
"Who do?"
"You do."
"Do what?"
"Remind me of the babe."
On Friday, watched Frances Ha and I'm even more in love with Greta Gerwig than I was before. Fantastic movie, and I'm so glad she's doing well for herself. Also started watching American Horror Story: Asylum and it's as appropriately batshit as I was expecting/hoping. So far there have been: aliens, exorcisms, serial…
Christopher Kimball is such a smug asshole. He treats all his female co-hosts like children and it's hilarious to watch because they clearly can't stand him.
What about the Kramer-turkey from Seinfeld?!
I honestly wouldn't have a problem with it if the writers knew what the fuck they were doing. The romance on this show is so forced, it feels like it was written by an alien who watched the CW for a week and then tried to approximate how human beings act when they're in a relationship.
Watched these episodes last week! Glad I can finally talk about them. I liked them a lot but had a few problems:
I used to really like Girls at one point, but I honestly don't know if I have the patience/stamina to deal with it again.
This man can scowl like a fucking champion
I also liked it a lot! Don't really understand the hate The Hobbit gets. I thought it perfectly captured the fun, occasionally very dark tone of the book.
"These verb forms . . . are intense."
"'I am okay. I may not seem okay, and I may not be okay now, but I am, like, okay,' Marnie says in one clip, a line that sums up the characters’ defining mix of desperate confusion and accidental insight."
I got robbed by a sweet old lady on a motorized cart, and I didn't . . . even . . . see . . . it . . . coming.
Philology comes alive on the silver screen!
The AV Club needs Dads the way Batman needs the Joker. Without it, we are nothing.
The excerpts I read of her book were irritating as fuck
Plagiarism, too.
