I was expecting something more like the DR version.

Not true, the metal front fenders on the F150 Raptor are different from the other versions. Easiest to recognize when you look outboard of the headlights.

I think the way the F150 was altered for it’s Raptor version gives a more finished look.

I was expecting something more like the Bronco DR

I still can’t believe this is how it looks from the factory.  It looks like aftermarket flares were added to a regular Bronco.  I would’ve thought Ford could come up with something that looks more integrated.

Huh, looks a lot like the Jeep JJ

That’s a good question. Those wheels look smaller than the ones on the semi, but bigger than the alloys on the front of the Nissan. The last picture in the article shows rear Nissan alloys as I’d expect.

I’m getting tired of reading about the death of gas cars. I live in a blue city in a blue state. I know exactly 3 people who own an electric car. I’m pretty sure of those 3 people all of them have a second car that is gasoline. Considering that the Leaf came out 11 years ago, and the Model S 9 years ago, that is a

Admittedly this is still camouflaged, but I find the styling disappointing. I was expecting actual wide fenders like what the F150 Raptor uses or the bronco DR. This looks like they simply bolted on wider flares...something that can easily be done by the aftermarket.

Seems like a terrible idea. I expect this will cause car thefts near the Southern US boarder to spike. According to the article, the reason legal cars are so expensive in Mexico is because of taxes and permit fees. It would be more logical to lower those taxes and fees to make new legal cars more affordable. Mexico

Exactly. Flying to Europe and back generates about 1 ton of CO2 per passenger. An average Prius will generate about 2.5 tons of CO2 in a year.  In other words 3 people flying to Europe and back will create more CO2 than a Prius does in an entire year. It’s a lot easier to cut back on long haul flights rather than try

I couldn’t agree more. What’s the point of an electric car if we still have coal and gas power plants? Cars today are already incredibly clean. I don’t have time to find the source right now, but I recall reading if you take 1 trip to Europe the emissions from your flight are equivalent to driving your car for a whole

Agreed, it’s only been recently I’ve realized how influential zoning laws are. Most people never think about zoning laws, but they really do shape a community (and therefore the country). Some styles of buildings are designed specifically to be legal in the most possible areas of the country.

This is actually a good diagram because it shows where the left turn car and U turn car should get into the outside lane. Single lane roundabouts are pretty simple, but I can see how people get confused by multi-lane ones.

Huh, you’re right. That’s new. It used to only list recalls. There are some forums I know of that used to list TSBs, but the manufacture forced them to be taken down claiming it was their IP.

Some companies make it hard to check for TSBs.

A ban of gas cars will not happen anytime soon. I recently drove 3,000 miles for a road trip. Lots of people like to drive across the country. Right now I believe the longest range Tesla is about 400 mi. Electric cars are only practical for city driving, not cross country. No, we can’t pass legislation today hoping

I read through all the comments and it seems no one mentioned this.  Jeep JKs have differential drain plugs.  Presumably JLs do as well.  So David’s point about diff fluid changes is wrong for every Wrangler made since 2007.

Did rental companies shrink their fleets during the pandemic? Do the locations stock fewer cars than a year ago?

This is the same experience I had. I thought they were kind of neat until I had one as a loaner. The biggest problem is you can tell where compromises were made in order to achieve the desired exterior look. In a Wrangler it’s form follows function for the boxy look. It’s the opposite in a Renegade. It drove like a
