This show did three things:

1) It ham-fistedly made Skrulls the bad guys again, fixing the ham-fisted “the Skrulls are the good guys!” twist from Captain Marvel
2) It gave us the Super Skrull as an angsty anti-hero
3) It gave the MCU the best possible replacement for Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter: Olivia Colman’s Sonya

I was lucky; by the time I was hitting arcades, people weren’t wearing cloth shorts with white piping, but we WERE wearing shirts that we ironed puffy letters onto ourselves.

I can see the handle of the Goody comb sticking out of your back pocket.

Can’t really tell where the baby is, but maybe they were worried about flying glass spraying the baby?  -ish?

This is a shithole country.

It might be popular with people who don’t like having racist/classist/fascist messaging blasted at them like a firehose, too.  But hopefully Lord Elon sees your work and will carry you to Valhalla himself.

I would hate to imagine the smell that would plume out of that submersible if it survived the trip and they popped the hatch on day 96.

I’m going to guess, no. Who would even insure it, knowing what it was they intended to DO with the vehicles, and what type of people would be aboard. Every day, there are surviving families who get millions in wrongful death compensation, and they got their lawyer off the back of a phone book.  Think insurance

This strikes me as a structure that’s owners have vastly underestimated how much maintenance/upkeep will cost.

That’s *almost* “194th-best-male-golfer-in-the-world” money.

I love how Conan and Harrison Ford work off each other; I would watch the hell out of an Idiot Abroad/Better Late Than Never with those two.

The Sega Game Gear was my favorite video game platform, ever, bar none. Perfect ergonomics, great screen, and arrived at the perfect time, when gameplay still trumped graphics but graphics were catching up.

There was a time when building your own PC *meant* something, but going around bragging about it today when they’re basically just a glorified Lego set is kind of sad.

Now, if it were still more cost-effective to build your own system, that would be reason enough to still roll your own, but so long as people are still

For crying out loud.

How long into the experiment before there’s Mars boning?

Maybe one (or all!) will do the right thing and Epstien themselves before discovery is made public.

But it’s not a helicopter, is it? There must be *some* reason this is more remarkable than say, a train derailment or a lost hiker.

Oh wait, I know what it is. It’s currently the only jank-ass, billy-bob engineered submersbile that went missing with 5 people on it this week.

Pilot is the dude who owns Ocean Gate.  Far as I know, he was worth 750k, which he got from three of the other passengers.

Aside from the notion that it’s a little sociopathic to sit back and casually determine these lives aren’t worth saving, the experience gathered in these kinds of operations could prove valuable in a future rescue of people “worth” saving.  That’s why all the effort.

Well, you used to be good /reddit, but as with everything good, eventually a conservative douchebag comes along and ruins it by making it better (for themselves).
