Honda has had a fully functional humanoid robot since the year of our lord 2000.

It’s pretty weak compared to even Boston Dynamics robots, although to their credit they’re aiming for cheap robots first and foremost even if that costs capability.

There’s also basically zero competition in theaters right now and it's been kind of a dry spell, which doesn't hurt.

I was struck by something I saw online a number of years back, which was that J.J. Abrams understands Star Wars as a movie he loved when he was a kid, and not as a universe.

Yeah, first they recycled the plot of Star Wars almost exactly, now this.  They’re literally out of ideas already.

If you built it, I’m surprised that you didn’t take the more secure route of using a recessed male plug, which would have allowed you to use any standard extension cable to connect it to a power source, instead of requiring a male-male cable.

I have zero interest in this movie or franchise and am tired of hearing about it.

The original photo from Sloan was a snapshot where the TV and whatever it was playing is clearly not the subject. But that’s what made the mystery even more interesting. This piece of media was somehow both familiar but completely forgettable.
