I might be the only one, but I actually really like the current SL-class. The interior is absolutely spot on. I even like the exterior. If I had the money, I would definitely look up a nice used SL350.

Well, I certainly did not talk about the ergonomics of the interior. I have only been once inside a 996 and that was for a 10min ride. But aesthetically, the 996 is not pleasing. At least to me. Especially compared to the very sober long nose 911´s, which imo really do have a great interior.
Jesus, you´re right. I can´t unsee it now, that´s why I thought something was off.
Well, except for maybe the steering wheel the 993 looks a lot sharper to me. The straight black bar in the middle gives it a much ´cleaner´ look than all the curves in the 996´s interior.
But the interior looks so dated. :( I really can´t look past that.
I´d highly recommend these bucket seats which have speakers and a subwoofer built in for surround sound...
Jesus this is golden. Thank you for this
I smell a recall....
Loeb could team up with a rabid pitbull and still have a good chance at a top 3 spot...
LOL it´s really a bundle of joy, isnt it..
Ah, I see where your coming from. I guess it´s a matter of semantics. They are regrooving a (semi) slick in the video turning it into a raintire, so a non slick.
Like so;
Oh sh*t, I recognise this guy. It´s Rambro!! He´s got some real anger issues alright, they even got him his own punching bag.
LOL
I agree with you 100% on the consumer tires. Just eyeballing it is f*cking stupid. I know it´s occasionally done on racing tires (i.e semi/full slicks) though.
Actually, this is common practice in the trucking industry. If done correctly this can extend the life of your tires and isn´t `dangerous` at all. Even major tire companies do this...
Haha, terrible ain´t it. Sometimes I do stuff on autopilot and then proceed to completely forget about it. More than once I´ve had to return to my house to check if I closed the front door. It´s always closed, but by God I don´t remember doing it. *cue creepy horror theme*
14. Your f*cking right hand.
Yeah, I think we severely underestimated the project. At first, we were (naively) under the impression that it was a ´plug and play´ kind of swap. Which unfortunately couldn´t be further from the truth. But kudos to you for persevering!
You remind me of a friend of mine who (unsuccessfully) tried to do an engine swap on his 5. He managed to acquire a beaten up Volvo 480 with the B18FT 1.7 turbo block. These blocks were produced by Renault and ideal for an enigine swap into a 5.
