Also the SoC on that Zenfone 2 is close to Snapdragon 801 levels. Much faster than the Moto G, though I do like the G.

The new Moto G addresses the only things I disliked about my first gen one, namely 2GB RAM and MicroSD. After that, it’s really all the phone I need. The processing speed would have been fine if it had 2GB to start with, so the bonus SoC speed boost is just gravy on top of the RAM. And the MicroSD, I’m not paying up

Now we’ve got the new Moto G and OnePlus 2, starting at $175 and $330 respectively.

This is reminding me of something...Remember the Dell Venue? Yeah, that flopped. Anyways, it’s nice to see someone trying something other than a flat slab again, Blackberry does have a few different designs but I think the value of a physical keyboard is lessening these days, at best. I had a Q10 as a loaner, and

I do think so. Fossil watches aren’t exactly heirloom items that your great grandkids will wear either, they’re more disposable than luxury watches by better brands. And not to say Fossil won’t have any issues making a smartwatch either, you’re comparing the build quality of existing smartwatches with something Fossil

Fossil is a mall watch maker...I think tech companies could give them a fair run for quality.

The other problem with it is having an entire consortium of countries to deal with for any transfer of technology, as well as the same list of countries to deal with should they ever not like a war India is in and one of them decides to hold out. With the Rafale it’s France alone, and France has been a reliable

The F22 projects what, 1:30ish kill ratios against the SU-35? It would be carnage for their side. If they buy more than 12 Pak Fas and end up with a few hundred of them, then those might drop the F22 kill ratios to more like 1:4 or such, which would still be a win for the US, but a much more lossy one.

I don’t see India buying Typhoons right after buying 36 Rafales...Both planes have some ups and downs (Typhoon is a bit better air to air, Rafale is a bit better at multirole/strike), but they’re so similar that I don’t see why India would get two different types, instead of getting more Rafales. Their fighter jet

I never ceases to amaze my how utterly gorgeous apex predators are (which I consider fighter aircraft to be). Whether they are designed and built, or evolved over billions of years, there is just something captivating about them.

Great article as usual, Tyler. It was my childhood dream to become a fighter pilot, and had things turned out differently, I might have ended up in the IAF like my dad. I have a soft spot for the Flankers, and I think they are gorgeous. Do we have a head-to-head comparison between the Typhoon and the Rafale?

Oh, to be in a position to watch this play out first hand. Gotta say that the Flanker is one, sexy beast and the Typhoon isn’t too shabby either. India’s military has really grown up in the last 30 years and they seem to have very capable pilots. Great pictures Tyler. Thanks for sharing.

Those Flankers are beautiful killing machines - Typhoon looks so plain next to them

I see you are still avoiding reporting the F-35b did well in both strike and in a 4 on 9 engagement:

Every time a new OS comes out, I think something like that, wait a while for the bugs to be worked out...And then I install them on day 1 no questions asked anyways. Often the betas as well. Been in every Windows beta since Vista, the last few OSX betas as well. And Chrome on Canary, lol. Wreckless OS updates have

Eh, pick your poison. Lack of graphics driver bugs? The tradeoff is giving up 30-50% of your graphics performance for native OSX apps over native Windows apps, thanks to them being 5 years behind on OpenGL. Yosemite caused me lots of little bugs too, especially with web browsing with DiscoveryD. I have a 2500 dollar

Counterpoint: OS X kinda sucks on a desktop.

Unless you’re comparing them side by side, you can’t easily tell a difference, unless you’re looking for it. So it actually is meh.

Thank goodness they stuck to a 1080p panel. 2k/4k is doing little but straining mobile GPUs and eating batteries right now. There will come a time when those concerns become trivial through efficient panels and ever more powerful hardware, but right now, meh to them, 1080p in this screen size is fine.

The existance of North Korea suggests this is actually not how you infact “win”.
