That’s honestly the best I hoped for and this is one of  my favorite book series, if it’s that level or better that’s a fair shake.

I just can’t go back to one of their 326PPI phones now, call me picky. Somehow it’s less of an issue on an iPad or Macbook with PPIs below that, but as much closer as you hold the smaller screen on a phone, I just notice too much fringing around small text and things like that, and plenty of people online have already…

Do you want to have to charge it every day and get it on and off your cat? Wouldn’t be very useful if the cat ran away for more than a day.

Look into a dedicated tracking collar, even the Airtag advice relies on other iPhones being around your cat to ping it 

I’d love a smart ring from Apple that just tracked the rings and health stuff, maybe sent buzz notifications, and could track sleep for many more days without a charge than the Watch can. Then I could go back to wearing regular watches and just wear that for the health bit, which is what I really wear the Watch for. 

I plan on riding my 3 till it dies and then I’ll get what the latest is. It’s steel and LTE so it had double the storage over the base model they STILL sell new (which is terrible), so it doesn’t have those OS upgrade woes with having to wipe it each time at least.

I’m really hoping they end up making it as a standalone production car. I think it looks great, and if all these 1 billion dollar capital startups can make an EV being so much simpler than ICE vehicles, than why not a consumer electronics giant that is somewhat stagnant for growth. 

Jeeze,  11? I think I gave up in 5 or 6. The show seemed forever aimless like it’s title, there’s only so much walking and dying can be entertaining without going somewhere. Sounds like it almost doubled the shows volume doing the exact same thing that made me give up. 

iPads have a bigger battery and always had a larger power brick, and are rated to 1000 charge cycles before hitting 80%, where the iPhone is rated to only 500 cycles.
For me it was the iPhone 7 that got to nearly unusable battery life in just 2-3 years and degraded fast that first year. The rest I’d chalk up to luck…

Do you wireless charge or fast charge your 12, where it wasn’t an option on the 7? 

Try blocking all the elements but the camera and using Memoji, it still works. Technically they could have had it on camera only phones all along, but I guess the other stuff must improve something, probably low light use...Or they wanted an upsell for the fancy new designs. 

Waiting on one for the XS Max that had an unusually high batch of FaceID failures...Didn’t do anything to it, just stopped working one day, IR blaster seems dead, otherwise the camera works. Found other people with the same story.

Man I think it looks great. Twice the interior volume of the Model 3 in a shorter and squatter frame too, because of their industry thinnest skateboard platform and leafspring suspension not intruding into the chassis.

I’m a simple man with a simple plan, ride a bit of the stock to 0 or to a Canoo sedan in 2025. 

Seems like it would have been prudent for Canoo to keep him and have him return to his technology role (since he was only temp CEO), or as an advisor that they had a lucrative contract option for. Now Apple gets a lot of what they know without buying them or licensing from them, IP protections aside.

Very curious how Fisker landed this, having shipped no cars yet (failed Fisker being a legally distinct entity). What kind of DD does the pope do? 

Canoo has about 20 test mules out there with over 500,000 miles on them fwiw. The truck was only just revealed a month ago, but they share the same skateboard so that’s the big thing to test.

They’re well ahead in miles compared to other EV startups, but Rivian is of course in a different class and not really in that…

If Canoo can price the big, complicated MPDV at 33K, I think the price of the truck could be surprising for the entry level tier.
