The “old one” was the B-52, which looks way different. You’re probably thinking of the B-2 which this more resembles.

Grandpa!
The press release details...Which were for the press..Shouldn’t be reported on in the press?
That confused me at the first go too, until I saw the boot camp manager tray item in Windows that lets you go back to OSX, then you can set the startup disk from there. But it’s still strange for Apple who should make the whole thing idiot proof.
Newer ones have ever more efficient processors, the 30 dollar AV500 D-link one I just got advertises that it saves 60% of the power when it detects you’re not using it, and I’ve never noticed it being too hot.
Actually the artillery has been more of a worry for military planners. NK doesn’t have reliable ways to launch a nuke into SK, but they do have enough artillery permanently pointed at Seoul to really devastate it, even if airstrikes took them out a lot may still go through in a surprise attack.
In what way are the two at all equal? One was pretty harmless, easily ignored, not racist, sexist, etc...It was just some dumb teens being dumb teens online. The other puts lives at risk and wastes SWAT resources.
If by play stupid games you mean have any sort of public face on the internet? The videos were harmless and easily ignored. It’s not even like the “god caused the Japan earthquake” girl.
Yeah, so sounds like the same issue as the 360s. The heat made the ball grid array under the GPU, and the connection between the CPU/GPU flex, and the weakened solder would develop cracks in the BGA. That’s why heating it up would sometimes fix it for a while, or reflowing it could fix it for a bit longer.
Same thing…

Funny thing is now that I have a beefy work laptop, I’m considering selling my 15" rMBP for a Chromebook 2, nearly the exact same situation as you. Still stand by your comment? Any gripes you ran into?
I think the main difference is, I’d feel safer letting my parents loose in Chrome OS than I would Lubuntu. I’m fine with Lubuntu, but computing is also my field.
Nice to hear they did deliver on the always up to date promise
I never looked much into the PS3s issues - is it the same early lead free solder issues as the 360? And when was it fixed?
It seems to die similarly, just takes longer than the original 360s. Microsofts fixes never really did fix it; die shrinks did. The glue they applied, the extra heat sink they hacked on, those…
Nintendos transfer systems are still so byzantine in 2016.
Is it the disks, or the rubber stoppers that Microsoft STILL never put in their console disk trays, that make little bumps scratch the disk on the lens?
It might be both, I do recall blu ray has better coatings than DVD.
I still have a pretty stupid large 360 backlog, mixed between disks and digital. The disks see the least use because...Well, digital I can turn on from the couch. But the 360 backlog is unlikely to be cleared...Because I now also have a PC and PS4 backlog...
Oi. Ah well. At least I can probably ride out the stupid…
The Music app still is pretty lacking imo. Even if you turn on the “local media only” setting, it seems like it’s annoyingly set up to be optimized for Apple Music streaming, when I just want to use my damn local content.
Oh god, I’m going to be the old man screaming at The Cloud.
I feel like “if you’re jailbroken” is the answer to all my iPhone gripes, lol. But work pays for this one so it’s out of my hands.
