Out of curiosity: Did the video show how much weight he did ?

Well, the F35 flies higher and faster for one, but also the Americans learned from that mistake, the F-117 was flying the same predictable path every single day, that’s a no-no.

Plus the F-117 was flying the same route every day, so there was some observation involved on their part, and cockyness on the Americans part. The F117 also flies low and slow by todays standards.

That’s a small chunk of the story, conveniently for your point. They flew the same route every day, they got cocky. Shooting it down was a matter of observation and luck, not the technology of stealth being flawed. It also flew low and slow.

Isn’t the issue there that European fighters don’t take the missiles that we already have? We’d have to re-tool a lot of our processes and re-buy a lot of arms.

Edit: Ah, crap, you meant the SU-35 and not the Pak Fa. But I’ll leave this here because I wrote it damn it, and a lot of it applies to the SU-35 as well.

Canadian here: I strongly disagree. And I’m someone who’s found myself defending the Pak Fa at times (and rooting for it: Also Indian, so invested in it doing

I’m going to just point out that just like the F35 development, they’re probably computer-limiting the Pak Fa’s performance at present, and freeing it up bit by bit as they make sure every stage is safe. The Su-35, being more of an upgrade to an existing platform, is already being pushed further because of it.

The six prototypes in variable repair they have?

Perhaps they didn’t apply tape to those on purpose - they don’t want Russia to know the exact radar profile of what an F22 in full capability would be in a full on war.

The F117 wasn’t invisible, no plane is. Actually I though the F22 had a comparably low radar cross section to it, perhaps barring the rear end.

Since always, you’re thinking soda water. Tonic does have calories, soda water or seltzer do not.

Rapid raptor? Oh come on, missed opportunity to call it the VelociRaptor

So far as I know the current status quo of an order of 65 is pertaining to the Pak Fa, with the Indianized FGFA/PMF to be seen to later. It is a bit hard to know what’s going on there, granted. I’m wondering if it won’t be like the SU-30MKIs, where India just received standard SU-30s at first, and then when the MKI

The rugged part was a necessity because it kept getting shot...The F35 tries to avoid that problem by flying higher and faster and laying down the pew pew from longer range.

How many are flying? India is still ordering 65 Pak Fas, I think you mean to say more than Russia ordered, which was 12. Certainly not over 650 F35s flying right now.

100 is a perfect score, they break the scale to score it, and then call out it’s imperfections...Yeah, I’m not sure about the objectivity of that review. Love the car, but they already defined 100 as perfect, it makes little sense.
