Depends. Robert Jordan wrote the end of the Wheel of Time way back with the first few books, then he put 14 books between the beginning and end. He may already know the ending. In fact I'd be disappointed if it wasn't planned out already.

It doesn't seem like the TDP of the eighth gen consoles is going to be higher (or much higher at least) than the 7th, they don't have to reinvent the wheel there to figure out how to cool them.

DirectX is a Microsoft only API, what are you talking about? The GPU can support DirectX level FEATURES, but the API itself is proprietary. Sony uses OpenGL derivatives, I know that for a fact.

Yeah, the 360 used a modified DirectX, that may get support. The others would be using custom OpenGL libraries.

The Epic Citadel runs surprisingly well on my 3 year old Nexus S, which is ancient for smartphone hardware. It's not that demanding. I'm sure the Intel chip is good (they finally took graphics seriously), but this doesn't showcase it at all.

With AMD being the GPU of choice in all three eighth gen consoles, I hope they make this available to all platforms so that developers are more likely to use it, easy porting.

The largest part of the PS3 price was the Blu ray drive, plus the massive R&D they put into Cell. This time around they'll still be using blu ray drives, just that they'll be much cheaper to make by now, since standalone players which used to cost more than the launch PS3 are now into the double digit territories.…
