Even as an atheist, I will always capitalize God when referring to God. In context where God is a proper noun, it should be capitalized. While I agree that MTY19855's comment was likely about belief, capitalizing God in this context is not. It is about rules of grammar. Charlie Brown should be capitalized, too.

If I’m reading everything right and if Tadge is to be trusted, it’s not even that it really heat-soaked itself; it prevented itself from heat soaking, cutting spark and stuff. The car (again, this is on Tadge’s word) did everything right. The fault was just human error.
