How do you feel about "cancer awareness"? I find the term to be infuriating. What exactly is awareness supposed to be? Like ok, I am aware that liver cancer exists. I'm a great fucking person now. How does "awareness" help anyone? The best activism we can engage in, IMHO, is to stop hospitals like Yale-New Haven form

Well no, you see when Jesus was born he came with a list of things God cancelled from the old laws and it happened to cancel the convenient things like the cloth and the shrimp thing, but God highlighted all the gay parts so we need to super focus on that.

"We believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand that God has made her female and her dress and behavior need to follow suit with her God-ordained identity, that TCS is not the best place for her future education."

Wow you're a good kid.

How... Isn't tenure-track quite literally the opposite of dead-end?

So 50,000 man hours, that's 25 people working full time (North American standards) for a year. Sounds like only the supreme committee has not had any injuries/fatalities. Interesting fact for him to bring up.

Me, call my mom? Not with any regularity at all. Usually if there's an upcoming family outing and she hasn't already called me about it (or I need to plan early).

I'm starring this in sympathy, otherwise I would weep.

*Ahem*

Woman in coffee shop: Um... I would like a tall black coffee.... also um... does the coffee have like wheat gluten in it...

I really cannot wrap my mind around the enormous amount of hypocracy involved in someone who pushes the Creationist agenda making a critique of someone else for having "blind faith".

Creationists aren't even on the radar screen for them, they wouldn't even consider us plausible at all.

They also actually catch terrorists on occasion, from what I hear. The TSA has a track record of 0. We're apparently supposed to believe that we're safer because the TSA is so scary that terrorists have given up trying to terrorize on planes.

Damn. I loved Ria Torres so much, I really wanted her to be real.

Oh gawd. Like anyone at the TSA can think beyond what they want to eat for lunch, much less tell if someone is "suspicious."

They should hire Cal Lightman.

"Starbucks is not just a coffee company… it's about nurturing the human spirit. What my goal in life has been, what I suppose my brand has become, is nurturing the human spirit."

Which probably would make it MORE important for more actual comprehensive sex ed earlier, so that people who figure out they are trans can start on HRT before their secondary sexual characteristics come in, I would assume. God, Americans suck and understanding gender and sexuality. We barely give CIS and straight

If ever there was an argument for how fluid our constructs of gender and sex *actually* are, it is watching a person flip their sex hormones and watch how much it changes their body. Seriously, transphobic people- if people transitioning were doing something unnatural, why do their bodies get more traditionally

Why didn't I learn this in sex ed???? :(
