Beat me to it.  I realize they don’t have editors anymore, but at least re-read your own work before hitting “post.”

Luckily, across the board, the drunk acting in Single Drunk Female falls into the latter category.

They should have cast British comedian Greg Davies, who’s 6'8. Can he do a Texan accent? Almost certainly not. Would it be hilarious to see him try? I think so.

Definitely both, sex addiction is an excuse for assholes and Franco is an asshole.

And that’s why you don’t try to continue a GDT thing without GDT. Stupid Hollywood.

Hey, if people can use whatever pronouns they want, then verb tenses are also up for grabs. Don’t be a bigot by mis-tensing the article!

To be fair the title comes from the Patricia Highsmith novel it’s based on—one of her best.

See, Gabrielle, THIS is how you do a piss-take on the films of Adrian Lyne/90s “erotic thrillers” in general. Not by frantically typing “erotic thriller” over and over like you’re hoping to make your word count and hit POST before your parents walk unannounced into your bedroom.

“Lowering the steaks”????

We saw Coon in a production of “Bug,” written by (checks notes) Tracy Letts, at Steppenwolf last week.

You can blame the generic title on the late Patricia Highsmith, author of “Strangers on a Train,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” and “Deep Water.” I think it’s a great novel, but it sounds like this adaptation is a bit... UNFAITHFUL, to borrow another Adrian Lyne thriller title.

I’m gonna imagine De Armas’s character gets angry because Affleck’s character gets to have a side thing with Rachel Blanchard while she gets Tracy Letts.

“Boo souls” is one of the most perfect lines, and line readings, for this show. When Greg said it, I laughed a bit, yet also felt queasy. “Good” Greg fully taking off the shackles of self-righteousness, giving himself permission to roll in the mud he was already neck-deep in. The ethos of this show - horrible people

The guy who invented the “rolling in his grave” idiom is, ironically, not rolling in his grave.

Seriously, Six Feet Under was a B+ show that went out with an A+ closer. It is possibly the worst imaginable candidate for a reboot/remake. Fucking it up is a statistical certainty. It’s the antithesis of Michael C. Hall’s other revival, which isn’t great but had nowhere to go but up.

trailer doesnt say he did?

It looks great, but the insufferable POS in me is going “Why make it look like cheap 70s 16mm filmstock if you’re going to put expensive modern camera moves in?”.

I know I know: yes I am a riot at parties.

I understood and appreciated this joke.

Remember Cartman had a genuine not-evil girlfriend like 2 seasons ago.

Far as I’m concerned the 1606 Globe Theatre performance of “Macbeth” is the definitive version and anything else is a superfluous waste of time.
