I think sneakypoo was reasonably stating an alternate way of thinking about the situation . Issues of this kind should not be understood only in binary. I would think there’s room to think about the implications of the ‘right’ way of looking at things . Angry reactionariness does not move political discourse forward.

I think the author of this article simply does not get the show. I would advise you give it a chance, because the writing is superior to Sorkin’s, and deep with emotional substance.
