Is there a dog actor’s strike or something? Why didn’t they use a real one? That cgi looks fake as hell.

I can see that there are likely benefits to using a CGI dog for the movie, but I cannot imagine watching this movie without being constantly distracted by the fact that it’s so obviously a CGI dog.
