Right after Hank Pym said that in the first Ant-Man movie they really should have cut to Basil Exposition turning to the camera and saying “I suggest you don’t worry about this sort of thing, and just enjoy yourself.”  I kind of loved that the movie provided this explanation and then immediately set about completely

the owl flies away unharmed when the tree falls and the miniature truck just stands as a dark joke

“Please Mr. Postman” is a legendary jam

Yeah it was a cool and funny thing. Also, since it’s Rogers: The Musical, the first act is the events of CA: The First Avenger retold and the second act The Avengers.

Not to mention HankPym dragging an entire building around on suitcase wheels, or all the Hot Wheels size cars that they expand. That thing about retaining the same mass has been bullshit from the beginning.

I am perfectly okay with the Broadway-styled production for the after-credit stinger. Not all MCU films have sneak preview for what might be stored in the future and this one is just enough to tie up the whole story together (at least until the next season... maybe?)

The mid-credits extra scene was ridiculous for people who don’t care much for musicals, like myself. Spielberg made a version of West Side Story? Like I’m gonna watch that, said I and many millions of moviegoers.

TBF, I doubt the nearly 60-year history of Pym particles has ever once stuck with that when it comes to growth. Comes and goes for shrinking – Pym-shrunk people punch with the power of a bullet, but also can be carried around in someone’s pocket.

Marc Shaiman worked on the South Park movie 20 years ago, so this musical number sounds like him.

Yeah, they made the right choice. Marvel clearly put a lot of work and time into staging that fake musical, I’m glad we got to actually see the results of that effort rather than a callback to a joke that’s funny primarily because it only lasted three seconds. The longer you linger on the owl joke, the quicker it

All I could think when I saw the shrink/grow arrows was “It changes size, but keeps the same mass. It keeps the same mass!”

beautiful voice, beautiful woman. R.I.P.

They would live as owls?  NO!  They would be owl food, that’s the implication here.

She got it from some guy or was it a woman she met in London. They came out of a blue police box and said the suitcase had plenty of space for whatever they needed.

Don’t forget there is always a dead parent/relative (who dies before the movie starts) who really loved christmas or was in charge of some major tradition in the small town and without them the tradition would die... until X gets passed over for a promotion at their big city ad agency and come back home and meet up

While this is focused on Christmas, the “Hollywood Jobs” that women routinely have in movies has been a thing ever since women’s roles weren’t exclusively based in the home.

That’s funny. Also they work in “marketing”and have an executive office in a high rise by age 25.

You mentioned Castle for Christmas. You will pay dearly for bringing that shite back into my very-bitchy Gay Scottish Bitch mind.

I think the most meta was one of the few (Only?) where the heroine takes the local boy back to the city with her.
