They really are. The 2014-15 Silverado 1500 was THE best looking half ton truck, and then they went and ruined it, and then ruined it again.
Dodge’s/Ram’s heavy-duty trucks have always had a more conservative look to them, taking great care to make the 3/4 ton and up trucks are basically larger versions of the 1500 without going overboard.
“Hey boss, the 2019 Silverado wasn’t very well received. They aren’t really selling as well as we hoped and people keep commenting on how ugly it is. Do you think we should tweak the heavy duty models?”

Can you call the Volt a hybrid, though? Yes, it had an ICE, but it never had any connection to the drive wheels, like a hybrid would. Instead it served as a generator, kicking in only when the battery needed to be charged.
Calm down there Linda Sarsour. The tax credits are set to expire sooner than that, and we use petroleum for far more than just gas in cars.
I don’t think anyone believed HD was going to stick around much longer. Not in the states anyways. Their lineup re-vamp came 20 years too late, and they were looking for another scapegoat they might be able to pin the blame on, which backfired even more.
Our 2002 Grand Caravan made it 190k miles with three kids before my parents finally traded it in last year.
