The Ranger has the most nostalgia behind it concerning “small” pickups. These things won’t have any problems selling.

Here is my 2015 V6 towing what used to be my 2006 Mustang. It didn’t tow it like an HD truck would have, but it didn’t struggle that much getting up to speed, and it had no problems managing that speed once it reached it.

Even going with the name brands like ACDelco, Motorcraft and Bosch I ended up with parts that were either broken when I got them or quality control rejects. If it works out then more power to you, but I can’t trust them anymore.

I trust RockAuto parts about as much as I trust Trump to speak grammatically correct English. Too many times I’ve been bitten in the ass for the sake of saving money.
