both usc and ucla are better than middling.  both are also heavy on the name dropping from alum.  i also attended a pac12 school that would be considered very equivalent to ucla in sports and academia, but it's in a rainy city and not a sunny city, so most don't find it as desireable.  usc on the other hand?  fuck…
