Nobody else seems to have mentioned this, and I might catch some flak for bringing it up, but IMHO this episode of WandaVision shows just how dumb some classic superhero costumes are and/or how hard they’d be to translate to the big screen.
Strange as it all is, a bright light shining next to a home with glowing red windows catches the synthezoid’s eye, and it brings him face to face with Agnes, also on pause, in her car.
Paul Bettany can EMOTE. I don’t know if I need proof an android can cry if Bettany is the actor playing said android/synthezoid.
That, I think, is pulled pretty directly from the West Coast Avengers #49
The other nice vision moment this episode was Darcy thinking he’s saying “help me,” then us realizing that - despite the personal pain - he’s actually trying to say help them (the townspeople)
I think they lumped in the ‘80s and ‘90s together in the last episode.
A stretch huh? Kind of like someone who can stretch like Mr. Fantastic?
When Wanda questions Pietro what happened to her accent, he responds in kind with the same, which is funny because fans have been wondering what happened to Wanda’s accent for years, but unsettling because Wanda can’t answer.
He is a bit of an all caring hero. Shame he’s dead. sigh
Favorite moments (just some because there are so many):
“Tommy teasing his brother about being a “dorkasaurus rex” feels vaguely like the show having a chuckle at Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s roles in Garth Edwards’ 2014 Godzilla”
True. But one thing I liked about The Stand is that it’s one of his rare stories where he doesn’t kill a dog or a cat linked to a main character.
Fisher’s claims were so vague as to be impossible to really get behind. To my knowledge he never pointed to anything specific, which makes it harder to believe.
Charisma Carpenter just laid it all out there, and seems like she can provide receipts. Gives her complaint a lot more credence.
Ray Fisher’s accusations were so vague I don’t blame anyone for disregarding them.
I agree that I would rather a fresh take on the X-Men than folding in the spotty Fox X-Universe (Deadpool being the lone exception). That being said... I muttered “holy shit, no way” about 5 times when I saw Evan Peters.
Look, this isn’t the USS Enterprise shuttle bay. You don’t have to announce your departure.
Imma say that Wanda being the bad is a misdirection. I think Heywood had SWORD experimenting on Vision’s corpse, trying to turn it into a weapon, and Wanda “stealing” the corpse was actually her rescuing the body of lover. And the “she” Norm was freaked out about was Agness, not Wanda. How the rest of this is going to…
I’ve read a few reviews of this episode now and a common thing that surprises me is people accepting the Director’s word that Wanda’s invasion of SWORD was bad and unjustified and went against Vision’s living will about not being weaponised.
The SWORD footage though shows that Vision has been dismembered and there are…
On second watch, the scene with the twins begging Wanda to bring the dog back to life, and Agnes asking “you can do that...?” struck me as a little bit sinister and creepy. My new theory is that whoever is manipulating the situation is trying to nudge Wanda’s abilities forward to the point where she can resurrect the…
