You’d be surprised. Not having that 3rd row gives a lot more room behind the second row, and under floor storage. It also has more ground clearance and will probably be faster/get better fuel economy due to less size/weight.

That’s my car. I’ve never had so many people stop me and ask me about my car before this one. I never get tired of looking at it.

I really like it. This looks great for those of us in the Northeast who want an SUV that can handle the rough roads and winters but don't need a body on frame truck.

Funny, I was just pricing Pilots online yesterday. (It turns out I can get a Pilot with everything I want for almost $4k less than a comparable Highlander...)

“That looks fucking tough as hell, i’m gonna buy one!”

Its a smaller and raised Pilot. It will sell like hotcakes. They could probably charge more too.

The Ford Edge is too fordy. The Chevy Blazer is too scifi-vagina front. Nissan Murano is getting long in the tooth.

Ah.. sorry.. I still feel I drive the c-pillar champ:

What is this obsession with off-roading in all vehicles these days? Not that many people actually are offroad enthusiasts in real life. I know like 2, and I am part of a few car clubs and go to many cruise nights. Body cladding, raised ride heights all over...you would mistake 70% of the driving public in their SUVs

It’s a slightly bigger V6 Forester (when equipped with AWD) and they’re going HARD on the #Rugged #Outdoorsy marketing.

Which is sad because everyone raves about the ZF8.

The sedan looks much better than the current model. The hatch isn’t traditionally handsome but is certainly unique without being overbearing. Either way the interior is gorgeous and that’s where you’ll be spending most of your time, so well done Mazda

It’s not a C-pillar, it’s a C-D-E-F-pillar!

Holy blind spot, Batman! That is is a C-pillar and a half.

Finally, some real competition.

It’s got a lot of Brera in the look... I like it.

I don’t think computers capable of rendering a C/D-pillar so large have been developed yet. Moore’s Law is crying in the corner.

Turn the GM plants into Mazda plants, and build the Mazda 3 in those plants.

Dig the hatch though it appears may have been designed for blind spot fetishists.
