Showing up in a Tesla, though, is not like those other ‘loopholes’ at all. Everyone, including 6 year olds, know on first sight that Teslas are electric cars. So it makes zero sense to let a Tesla race and podium, and then decide we don’t want EV’s after all.

Only one ICE permitted per vehicle.

By my understanding this just means you can have UP TO 1 ICE. Meaning less than or equal to one. Also who’s to say the batteries weren’t charged by an ICE. Ultimately, the organizers fucked up with their statement. They should have either admitted their mistake for allowing the car to run, or told the protesting driver

The way the rule is written in the comment, I would construe it as “you are permitted no more than one ICE in a vehicle”. It doesn’t say that you must have an ICE. Zero ICEs is less than or equal to one ICE. To me, it is only fair that ambiguities in a rule should be applied in favor of the person against whom it is

One ICE is permitted per vehicle. Doesn’t say that engine has to -do- anything...  Get the tiniest ICE possible and have it power a turn signal or something.

Then maybe the organizers should not have accepted the entry, let him on the track, scored his run,  etc. He hid nothing.

“Electricity is not a fuel” and “Electricity is not an approved fuel” do not mean the the same thing. Misleading title is misleading...

If they let you enter the race, they need to let you finish the race.

This is some SCCA level pettiness right here. If you were the one beat by him, you can go tell all 3 of your friends who care technically the car that beat you was not legal. Otherwise no one cares. No one from any of this racing is going on to be the next F1 star, so just leave it and let everyone have a good time.

THIS is the pettiness that has been missing from commercialized motorsports.

The Detroit Lions have a play called the Roseanne Barr, a very unattractive play where Matt Stafford literally shits his pants and then throws an unadvised lateral to a RB that results in a fumble.

It looks much better in person, I think. Especially if the car is ordered with the exterior carbon package - the entire back end (diffuser, engine cover, rear bumper, etc) is carbon and it looks quite nice.

Judging from cars & coffee, tracks, and supermarkets around here... to buy a GT3 you have to get a porsche dad hat and glue it to your head and you’re not allowed to ever remove it or they take their car back

It’s the P Zero Corsa. Pirelli’s direct competitor to the Cup.

Both are phenomenal cars. N/A high revving engine for the Porsche and mid engine sleek Supercar Styling for the Mclaren. If only McLaren had released an N/A engine for baby Mclaren pushing similar HP to the GT3 I think it would be a Supercar recipe made in heaven.

They say the same thing about your mom, but we can’t pass her because she’s taking up two lanes.

Couldn’t watch the video but what is the point of saying the McLaren was quicker when it was wet out with tires more suited for wet weather?

Alright, dad

The Jeremy Clarkson jokes are no longer funny.  Besides, which one do you think will be more reliable in every use imaginable (daily, track, hot, cold, rain)?

yet the beetle beats the physics-defying spaceship?
