Are you talking about Auto-Pilot? Have you used it? It’s much closer to a very advanced Cruise Control than autonomous driving. At it’s heart, it feels like a combination of dynamic cruise control and lane keeping/changing assist. Honestly, it’s just the name that makes people think it’s ore autonomous than it is

The anachronistic car is what makes this picture so good. It’s amazing that the village still looks like that, but without the yellow Corsa, you don’t get the amazing contrast in time periods.

Not sure if you’re being facetious or not... but I think he meant “while being towed.”

Actually - if I were to choose an iPhone to go in Moma’s permanent design collection, it might be the iPhone 4.

Really?

It’s actually not a part of Endless. Possibly the lead single from Boys Don’t Cry (if it still ends up being called that)?

You’re talking about two different things. If one asshole runs up the shoulder past traffic and then demands being let in, he’s an asshole. That’s not zipper-merging. Zipper-merging isn’t letting assholes win, it’s just common sense use of the road...

This is a future Z8 scenario.

Would that really be better?

Do we not like him? I like him.

Interesting. Is there a reason why everyone doesn’t stay under until the black marks, then?

That was delightful.

Hmmm... can’t even picture a great chrome wheel post... 1990? Any examples? Never liked chrome much, and chroming stuff also happens to be a very expensive and environmentally nasty process...

Do you mean the online show? I wasn’t aware of a Chris Harris on Cars show airing on BBC, just that he would be returning to his longer format videos with Neil, backed by the Top Gear team for the Top Gear website. The first one is already up - a piece on the Giulia Quadrofoglio.

That one is pitch perfect satire. Perfectly straddles the line.

Isn’t it more likely exactly what it sounds like... factory upgrades? You could interpret that in a million ways. I can make stuff up too for headlines, Car & Driver:

Surprised I had to Ctrl+f to find this one. What a great game - had a cool bunch of rally cars too.

The sounds of pure joy he makes during his f40/f50 film- as hyperbolic as it sounds - make me tear up. It’s beautiful that a man-made thing can elicit such a deep emotional response in person. It’s just wonderful how much he loves this stuff.

I appreciate the subtlety, but I also love me a well designed badge — the right typeface that totally fits the car’s character... Except I can’t think of any modern examples at the moment. Could be a great question of the day, though.

Yeah... what a tease. After the bit about CV axles generally being unable to survive the grueling conditions of the Baja 1000 or the like, I was totally expecting the next section to explain what the breakthrough was... but nothing...
