Laughter is the correct reaction to the ending, Hereditary has a good load of dark comedy buried in there.

This is a TV show, there are limits. The WW threat was seen off in a mega budget feature length episode, which is about the best we can expect. I totally understand the other complaints about battle choreography, plot armour and Arya ex machinas - but that one seems to be people wanting something undeliverable.

Don’t you know that the only acceptable way to live is to be woke from the womb? If 40 years ago you happened to live in the violent intolerant atmosphere of divided N Ireland, happened to hold violent intolerant views, and subsequently grew as a person, expressed shame etc - that is still grounds for being

The frog universe bit reminded me of Legion, that is never a bad thing.

Love the two pronged beard...is that option in Saint Denis? *madly quaffs hair tonics*

Chibnall’s writing has been the weak link thus far so it is not surprising that this was the best by a fair margin. I hope he lets more writers input next season because the pieces are in place for this to be the best Nu-Who regeneration, but they are not coalescing for me just yet.

Well at least I now know I'm not seeing things. Great show!

Suspenders and baggy pants = Bowie (appropriate given the episode title), stripes = Tom Baker scarf. Yes the overall look is a bit Mork from Ork...they are both aliens I suppose.

I quite enjoyed Mr Toothy-chops, and appreciated the horror film tone of the whole thing. I normally find Whittaker inexplicably irritating, so I was pleased that she absolutely nailed it and put to rest my disappointment that it wasn’t the rumored Pheobe Waller-Bridge who would also been perfect.

Well I figured it was only the intensity of his grief that allowed the channel hopping to occur.

Ok so...Amy became Lenny on that table in the hut...so why was she climbing out her own grave? Have I missed something here? Is Amy now in Lenny’s old body? If so why does she still look like Lenny?

Yes...and hasn’t comic book Legion been a supervillain at some due to split personalities?

The little ghouls are the Peaches children. Seems freak babies are a side effect of this cannibal lark.

Russell Brand is irritating, but his under the skin podcast is great because he mostly shuts up and lets his fascinating guests speak and when he does interject asks interesting questions. Really worth a listen.

It doesn’t ignore them though, it just presents them in a way that is not clear cut. It expects the audience to have the emotional intelligence to make up their own minds about the morality of the characters and the extent to which events change them. The backlash narrative of ‘racist cop has redemptive arc’ is

Because Mindy’s philanthropic act was genuinely selfless, whereas Tahini’s were purely selfish. You could argue that since the outcome is the same the motivation is not that relevant, but this is apparently enough of a distinction for the bad place.

MC Escher, but surely Labyrinth too?

Because a single accusation shouldn’t be enough to ruin someone’s life. He probably did it, but instant damnation is uncalled for without evidence.

Sounds like the kind of movie I’d love. I have a thing for chamber pieces and total lunacy in my films.
