I actually said to my TV, "Ooooh hello there, beautiful Johnno."

Aren't they interchangeable?
Isn't Culkin in that, as well?
I am just writing this comment from the future to tell you…your avatar is pretty sweet.
Potente is such a badass, and so damned unnerving in this role. I hope she continues to get more work in American productions.
"the burly DEA agent"
I'm feeling really bad for Louis CK now, who captured wonderful guest performances from both of them.
To be fair, The Lemon Song borrows heavily from old Blues songs, notably Robert Johnson's Travelling Riverside Blues.
Boooo. I know Trent said that the song didn't belong to him anymore…but come on. Give credit where it's due.
I'm willing to forgive a lot of their nonsensical stuff because "the stars are blazing like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun" is kind of amazingly beautiful.
Basically any song by Bush. What the hell is the significance of "fourteen hairdryers"? I don't know, but what I DO know is that Gavin Rossdale makes it sound sexy and existential.
re: the family business
This is a great point, especially considering Daniel's career prospects as a convicted murderer. In Paulie, he can always work at the tire shop. It's rightfully his by birth. Outside Paulie? Well…maybe McDonalds will hire him.
I so desperately wanted Daniel to not confess…but I knew that, in the end, he would. Aden Young's performance in that scene was just heart-shattering.
I don't recall - did we ever find out what happened to Teddy's mother? Is Ted also a widower?
That scene was so sublimely beautiful.
I think that Teddy pressing charges is what will keep Daniel in Paulie next season. With that arrest on record and the necessary proceedings to tend to, they won't banish Daniel just yet.
I see what you…wait, where'd you go?
I crushed equally on Helo and Starbuck. Saw a little too much of myself in the latter to deny her magnetism.
Also, blackout shades for the windows, and a ready excuse for missing work.
Say what you want about The Walking Dead (I am not a fan), but that theme song is incredibly effective in setting the tone of dread.
