This is what you people don’t get - his reactions to the accusations disqualify him for the position he seeks. You don’t bring up the fucking Clintons with tears streaming down your face if you are going to sit on the supreme court.

If someone asks you about your drinking in high school—based on evidence that you brag out your drinking in your own yearbook and list it on your own calendar—it is best not to immediately, belligerently ask the questioner about her drinking. The question about his drinking was completely fair. His response was…
This isn’t a criminal trial and they aren’t determining his guilt, it’s deeming his worthiness of the highest lifetime appointment.
And Merrick Garland was never heard despite having excellent qualifications. He has a reason to be a bit angry as well.
Dr Blasey Ford was calm, polite and collected while talking about a trauma that has affected her for her entire life and facing the fact that her assaulter likely will be on the Supreme Court and making decisions for millions. Yet her testimony was riveting and ten times more believable than Kavanaugh’s.
Not really. Part of the story is his own behavior while being questioned. That’s the point of the SNL piece: he’s a vindictive hothead with a chip on his shoulder.
Every time I’m wrongly accused of being a gang rapist I like to blame the Clintons for absolutely no goddamn reason, but that’s what we want out of the people applying to be non-partisan arbiters of justice.
Do you mean the skit or the hearing/investigation/charges in general? In regards to the investigation, I agree. If he’s innocent it’s horrible.
What makes you say he didn’t commit it? I don’t see any evidence that is even close to definitive one way or the other, and at the very least it’s fairly obvious Kavanaugh lied numerous times in the hearing, so beyond the temperament issues you have a guy who seems to have committed perjury about things that, if he’s…
Well, he’s already clearly guilty of lying multiple times under oath, as well as not having the composure a Supreme Court Justice needs, so maybe it’s time to pick another partisan Republican-backed candidate anyway?
He was a Republican operative who spent years trying to find dirt on the Clintons. Don’t pretend his service was for the public.
Neil Gorsuch didn’t have any of this happen and that seemed to be a much more contentious substitution that this one on the face of it (this time around, a judge chose the time of his departure as opposed to all the circumstances surrounding the previous vacancy).
What evidence is that?
Right, because as we all know, decades of “high profile” public service make gang rape all better.
Jesus Christ, AV Club, your comment sections have a Republican problem. Fix it ugh.
Two minor details I forgot to mention. The way Damon started tearing up everytime he brought up the calender’s was borderline inspired. And while she had no lines and was a background prop, the woman playing Kavanaugh’s wife did such a great job with her silent stare and maintaining composure as Brett was going…
While I think the sketch itself kind of lost focus at times, and the Graham thing was so much more subdued than the real thing, Damon was brilliant as Kavanaugh. I also think I got the main point they were going for with that regardless of the accusations, his demeanor in that hearing alone should disqualify him from…
I haven’t watched since Trevor took over, unless he has a guest I want to see. He just doesn’t have it.
If only Dot Matrix had a Fussy Bot Butler alarm, programmed to go off before Threepio can start fussing about things.
for me it was less that the movie was good then that it had an interesting worldbuilding. we wanted to see more of how the world would be recogniable but different with the historical differences, what real history happened, what fantasy stuff happened. the show was paint by the numbers, but the world..i want to see…
