The first season of Buffy isn't a "slog". It's ridiculously easy to watch, it's just not as smart as it would later be. By the first season finale (only the 12th episode), it's firing on all cylinders.

A lot of the doc concentrates on the supposed injustice of the IRS granting Scientology tax exemption because it is considered to be a "religion".
