I bought a new Outback over the weekend. It took me a month of searching / haggling with countless dealers and a 400 mile trip to pickup a BASE MODEL (in black) at a price I was comfortable with.

Agreed on cash flow. This weekend we signed papers for 1.45% for 72 months with zero down for a $25k new car. We have cash in hand to pay the loan off at any time but at that rate it makes more sense for our particular financial situation to keep those funds elsewhere.
Many years ago I was spotted like this by an officer while driving in the fast lane on the interstate - (he was parked on left shoulder standing outside the car with radar). He pointed to me and another car to pull off to the side. I pulled over immediately onto the right shoulder - probably across about 4 or 5 lanes…
...further proof of how little effort it would take for this feature to be integrated by OEM
We regularly have commercial aircraft overhead flying to 2 different international airports, so i’m used to hearing all kinds of aircraft overhead. Recently witnessed two F16s (maybe?) fly overhead and they were louder by several factors than anything I’ve ever seen nearby.
So much disappoint.
It was awful from generation to generation. except the z34
Seriously, nobody?
star for effort. didn’t bother reading any of the contextual comments.
I’ve owned an 03 SV650 since 2004 and have around 50,000 miles on it. It was actually my 3rd bike, after a 250 and a 500cc UJM. Honestly, the smaller bikes were more fun to own - they weighed less, cost less to insure, and were more fun to ride.
you have to think about the taxi industry (or trucking, or transit) as having two dogs in this fight: the business owners and the labor. The owners want to make money and probably don’t care if they have to pay someone or not. labor organizations (unions, whatever) are interested in preserving the jobs of the people…
you’re on the right track, but i don’t think businesses are going to pay people to sleep for 6, 8 or 10 hours so that they can drive for 1 or 2. Likely if your scenario comes true the vehicle will drive autonomously and without a person on-board between two hubs and the human labor will be dispatched from those points…
bravo!!!!
If you are in charge of operating a fleet of vehicles - doesn’t matter what they are - your largest cost is almost certainly labor. When the technology is ripe you will see a slow and steady decline in the number of people paid to drive.
Sorry, it was 180 hp and 320 torques
I had a ‘79 Coupe DeVille with the 425 V8 and 125hp. I know that feel
Have you flown lately? Have young kids? There are a million things that can throw off even the most prepared parent when flying. Departure delays, missed connection, re-route, “having a bad day.”
The Pilot has probably the worst fuel economy of any vehicle in the class.
