Did a fair amount of research on the C-MAX hybrid today. Ironically - i think that’s the right word - the ones without MFT are all kinds of electri-fuck’d. I wish i was kidding.

It took me entirely too long to find these headlamps

First, you are crazy. I’ve seen with my own eyes about 5 of these in the past 15 years. $6,000 is very reasonable.

Charlatan. When you go off-menu at a restaurant you had better eat what they serve you.

These will be the new old beetles in 20 years.

The Americans have nowhere to go but up. I went to Kia’s website a few days ago; 15 years ago I would’ve never imaged myself considering one.

first of all shut your mouth. i had one of those about 10 years ago and it was the best car I’ve ever owned. paid about $2k for it. I’m looking forward to the future :-)

I drove a red Caravan and felt lucky to get seat time in my dad’s 91 Accord. Completely agree

I want Kia K900 specs at a Mazda5 price point. Apparently that’s too much to ask.

The car is interesting. The motor and 3-pedal setup is attractive. The paint is a wash - add some points for new paint, subtract some for quality. If I were in the mood I’d buy it, but not for the price. Sadly CP

Today must be April 1st.

Geesh Japan, enough with the impractical enthusiast cars. I’m in my 30s. With a family. And a budget. Give me something practical at a price point that won’t break the bank.

When Vegas wins in these situations are they equally upset?

I think Top Gear and Car Talk are similar in this way; attractive to a vast market of people who both care and don't care about cars. These 5 men and their supporting staff were geniuses of entertainment who just happened to share a passion for cars and making people feel fuzzy on the inside.

I'm glad this is happening. that guy was just too awesome to lose at life.

christ how old is that MC too? No way I'm pulling over for a "Police" vehicle that hasn't been in production for 7 model years.

You are freaking sleuth

The bike-in-trunk trick is a good compromise. So here's a pic of my modified ultimate setup

Sitting here for 10 seconds I can already think of like 20 ways a car breakdown could leave me in a bind. I feel like reliability would be #1 priority and a vehicle that never runs out of fuel is pretty dang reliable.

I came to a similar conclusion (though picked big dummy for extra cargo capacity).
