The consummate "next car i'd buy" I love it. can't we agree to let it rest in peace.

I had a '96 5spd 1.5L protege just like the one pictured. I could get upper-3os mpg on the highway, but City driving just destroyed combined mileage.

it wasn't a bad car, but it was only halfway to a great car. Do it right next time.

My list of NP cars over $30K is short, and it certainly doesn't include a '78 Firebird. Not a bad car, but come on.

The market for these things is out of whack, but it's been going strong for many years now (how many times has a Vanagon been a NPOCP???).

yeah but with 21 speeds you're not topping most blenders.

Good luck finishing first in the game of life.

there are three modes: Eco - Normal - Pwr. it only changes throttle sensitivity. see this:

REQUEST: Can you post some pics doing mundane stuff like checking tire pressures, inspecting dipstick, cleaning bugs off windows, etc??? Even a shot pretending to fuel up with 87 octane would be HILARIOUS!

it's just a slant nose ppl, geeze

Didn't read. Didn't have to. I have $3,000 and a love for graphix from this era. So only if it's powered by a hamster wheel am I saying CP.

Here's a 2-owner '79 Coupe deVille with a 7.0L big block v8 for $800.

2nd gear: he came so close...
