Are these really that rare? I’ve driven two of these things w/ the manual. Granted I had just turned 16 when these things had just come out and I did live northern vermont - but yeah... two. A red one and a green one.

These cars will never be un-cool. I’ve had a BMW 850Csi as wall art for longer than I can remember. In front of a KLM 747. It’s lovely.

And yet, I don’t care. They are beautiful cars and I for one like knowing that I can get an A3 for 40 grand that looks like a 100k car.

Yes. It’s absolutely worth it. My favorite brunch cocktail. It’s delicious.

I learned to drive on a ‘85 GTS Turbo. Weirdly optioned as it had wheel covers and manual windows and locks but had every other option. I miss that cop car siren sound of the turbo spooling up.

And your constant judgement of matters you know nothing about indicates to me that you are either a troll or an idiot. Good day.

Dead sexy. Haha.

I love people like you... internet hero. Thanks for telling me what I need in my daily life. Knowing NOTHING about me or my driving habits absolutely puts you in a position to give solid advice.

1) The rubber band effect makes it very difficult to maintain speed and accelerate smoothly

Really Ford? You’re going to dilute your performance brand by doing this? As a FoST driver I’m simply aghast. Goddamn marketing managers.

So boring. I used to love the entire Subaru lineup... but they got so boring and staid.

I don’t want a poverty spec car. Any options (like good stereo, ac, dual top option) and you’re pushing 40 on a wrangler.

I’m 29. Give me a break. CVT fucking suck. Awful abortion of a transmission.

Dude I drive a Focus ST. I have to run snows on all 4. Also, I live in Boston. Have you seen how much snow we get?

The last snow storm here in Boston has pushed me over the edge and I desperately want an AWD car or a Wrangler. Didn’t really want to deal with Audi quality issues. I’m going to be 40 so the thought of a manual Subie is just not appealing and I’ll be goddamned if I’ll drive a car with a CVT.

I drove it yesterday and had a lovely time. Pavement was smooth, traffic non-existent, and my speed was high. The JR can be fun when you hit it just right. Makes getting to Lefferts Garden / Park Slope fun!

2013 ST here... I changed it for the first time at 1500 miles and then decided to wait until the light came on. I chickened out at 9500 miles.

Horseshit. Stay at home. Stay in bed. No one wants your disgusting diseased body anywhere near them.

In my professional opinion The Gallows has some fantastic poutine.

Excellent article and one that perfectly encapsulates the way I have been feeling this Christmas. Maybe it’s my general disdain for how “things” are going, maybe it’s the fact that our family has suffered yet another shocking death of a cousin, maybe it’s the fact that for the first time in my life I have a boyfriend
