Man, I forgot Nintendo bought Next Level. That just makes me wish they had also bought AlphaDream (the dev behind the Mario and Luigi RPGs) before that studio went bankrupt. Sure, NL is super consistent and seems to have a wider variety in their portfolio, I’m just sad the makers of the clever M+L games are no more.

Can the guy encase him in resin carbonite-style? I'd pay extra.

Look, I’d rather he be encased in resin for countless reasons, but this is totally harmless and I’ve seen much more wasteful retro projects. I couldn’t find an accurate count for GBC alone, but the Game Boy / Pocket / Color line sold a bananas 118 million units, and I’d guess a huge increase happened post-Pokemon

I was curious and looked into both a bit. For Air Ride, it didn’t seem to review well outside of Japan (to be fair, it’s a strange game). On top of that, in a four month window Nintendo released three first party racing games - Air Ride in July, F-Zero GX in August, and MK Double Dash in November. Nintendo shot

Biggest surprise for me...Kirby Air Ride ranking higher than 20+ all time bangers, including MGS, Persona 4, and a few DQs. Game's good, but that good???

While I agree in theory, a couple critiques. First, I think it’s just as worthwhile to find balance - I have spent the past few years with probably a 50/50 split between new games and retro (although leaning more retro lately). I can still keep up with the few big new releases I care about (FF7 Remake, Nintendo games,

As always, I’m understanding and happy for the delay. COVID makes everything in creative work so much more challenging, plus it hopefully helps the team both avoid crunch and not release a half-finished game like XV that has to spend the following couple years being thoroughly patched.

They released a trailer a year or so ago which looks intriguing but graphically underwhelming (which is why Yoshi P keeps bringing up graphical enhancements specifically).

Swing sword, kill stuff, numbers go up. Grab loot, upgrade stuff, numbers go up.

I hated it. I’d never felt dread from the opening moments of a movie before, but it was clear early on that it was both going to be a total shit show and going to do it’s best to cynically retcon TLJ. I loved TLJ, even though it’s not perfect, but that movie was so thoughtful and packed with compelling ideas that not

Ah yes, brought to you by Square-Enix, of “let’s rerelease our treasured classics to app stores by working extra hard to make them look like hot shit for no good reason, and at a premium price! Then port those to PC!” fame.

Okay, but seriously - what is a normal person supposed to do to enact any meaningful change to a highly political issue like climate change when a single well-placed coal baron can fuck this country’s best attempt at legislative progress? And how do we not just feel burnt out from endless anger at our useless systems?

I’ve fury-read a lot of articles and explainers about this asshole the past couple weeks, and it’s all led to one thing - I’m starting a new political campaign, and the entirety of my platform is kicking Manchin into a mineshaft 300-style. (I’d suggest the same for McConnell, but unfortunately legends seem to say that

I can't believe this whole article negated to say "aw shit, here we go again". Which I hope the modders added in to the beginning when CJ first walks out into the world.

This summer I refurbished a worn GBA I found for $20 into an amazing handheld console for a little over $100 in parts from Handheld Legend, rather than the $500 you cite in the article. A new shell and buttons, gorgeous IPS screen, rechargeable USB-C battery, and flashcart. It was a fun and easy modding project that

“WELL ACTUALLY CoD Warzone can’t be mad if Battlefield Warzone, Apex Warzone, and Candy Crush Warzone release in the same year too, because a warzone is just a broad concept.” What a ridiculous take you’re getting.

Ever since they revealed the classic villains coming back in this, I’ve been surprised at how it dampened my excitement...it just feels like fan service, or like Marvel went “oh shit, we almost forgot to do the Sinister Six” but with a set of villains with no history with this Peter. Doc Ock from SM2 is an all-timer,

A) Real missed opportunity to make the release date 2/22/22 - Sonic 2sday!

Which materials exactly would stand up to an EF-4 exactly? Windowless concrete bunkers, and basically nothing else. At which point you’ve given up nearly every other benefit to a building (especially physiological benefits from natural light and ventilation); greatly increased its carbon footprint and cost (at a time

I think Voltorb and other inanimate object designs (Magnemite, Klefki, etc) may pull from traditional Japanese spirituality, where well-used items take on some spirit of their own (from memory, I may be describing this poorly). I always interpreted that as the case for Voltorb as a used or discarded poke ball, but with
