I can't believe there was not a single use of the term "SMASHING" in this whole article. They slow pitched it in for you and everything. Nigel's in the header GIF. Disappointed.

This - as someone in the sustainable design industry, the “personal responsibility will save us from climate catastrophe” strategy is one of the most successful gaslighting campaigns in modern history. The amounts that any of us meaningfully have control over in our everyday life are miniscule on a modern scale, with

“...in Funtastic Jungle Green!"

The American military, like the students of most public school sex ed, has incredibly weak pullout game and therefore will likely be back in 9 months or so.

I mean, given the way Sony is (and really always has been) barely keeping Vita on life support, why would a developer want to take the time to release anything there months or years after the fact?

Join your savior in the Chao Garden, truly the bonus zone at the end of a faithful life.

I know everyone’s hoping for something ridiculous like Sora or Doom guy for the final character, but I think Smash is at its best with the weird shitposting like ROB, Wii Fit, etc. Also, it seems best to draw on Nintendo itself for such a historic moment. Therefore, my hopes for the final character:

I also hope that Smash gets dialed back with a soft “reboot” - a, smaller roster but all of them reworked and dialed in to play in unique and interesting new ways that better reflect their series (like Link in Ultimate with remote bombs, only moreso). Cut out most of the duplicates (Pichu, Ken, half the FE cast, Dr

hen the pandemic first started and the world shut down, my assumption was that Nintendo, faced with the sudden challenges of remote work, would take the chance to rebuild their retro library in some way (adding consoles to Switch Online, virtual console, retro collections, etc). Instead, I’ve just been constantly

Counterpoint - the N64 is historically important and a classic, but not one of the great consoles. The library is incredibly small and full of licensed and sports games, leading to months long dry spells without decent game releases. It’s almost entirely lacking RPGs and JRPGs, and the overt focus on 3d means the

...you must be new here?

I had the same thought, and along with Monkey Ball it was cool to start seeing some love for the GBA / Gamecube classics instead of retreading the same SNES nostalgia forever.

Man, I'm fine with a Tekken character, but in a franchise stuffed with wild nonsense, they picked the most vanilla option. Why not Eddy so he can capoiera all over the place? Or the bear? Or Yoshimitsu?

I’d agree with P4 as a starting point, especially because it’s on Steam now for cheap. P5 Royal is also excellent and would be a good place to jump in. Both are excellent in different ways. After that, I’d say SMT 3 would be a good next step to see if you might be into that half, as it’s widely considered the best SMT

All right, who’s ready for the Square Enix showcase?! Can't wait to see some Final Fantasy stuff!

Same on all counts...I heard about the leaked concept and was excited for Dissidia single player action game by Team Ninja, but Jesus, this looks embarrassing. It’s like a time capsule from 2008ish when JRPGs all tried to westernize and be Dark and Gritty and Grey. And yeah, I couldn’t take my eyes off that

That’s great, I’m happy to hear it! Plus the Wii is incredibly easy to jailbreak and add a huge range of classic emulators to, so it’s an extremely versatile console if you ever decided to go that route. But sounds like you've got plenty to keep your kids busy with! Enjoy!

Of course! I’ve also heard that people have some luck with Facebook Marketplace, but I’ve never tried it personally. Good luck!
