I have the longshot hopes that Scorbunny evolves into an odd combination like Fire / Elec (builds on ‘high energy’ motif, would be cool to have another elementally-focused physical attacker, adds water counter, 4x ground weakness, only ‘Mon with this combination besides Rotom that I’m aware of).

I’m late to the party on this one, but a couple months ago I finally decided to try Digit (the automatic savings app), and it’s been much more useful than expected. In that time it has built up over $700 already without affecting my overall budget, and I’m most likely going to be putting anything it withdraws towards

I’m currently working through the disc two portion of FFVIII Remaster, and I gotta say, this portion of the game is much stronger than I remembered from my last playthrough a decade ago. The story has tons of momentum and is feeling like it has a coherent throughline, mysteries are building up, and most importantly

You mean her only look...Blue Steel?

Don’t get me wrong, Baten Kaitos is an old favorite from my treasured Gamecube days (which I coincidentally just repurchased last week and was considering starting again this weekend), but from what I remember it’s not a game worth dropping anywhere close to 300 hours on...

Part of me says that you clearly haven’t seen Jr and Eric’s full range of matching dipshit expressions, but they also look like they could be the off-brand results from some questionable back alley IVF.

Technically you’re right that the FFVIII remaster is checking the same boxes, but the big differences are a) FFVII’s translation is notoriously bad, probably the worst of the series, so even some light edits and corrections would do wonders; and b) FFVII visually has aged much worse than FFVIII, mostly due to the

No, what you’re referring to is a drag-and-drop port onto a modern console. What the OP is referring to (and what I’ve also been hoping for) is a remaster - updated 3d models, maybe some uprezzed backgrounds, cleaned up translation, maybe a couple new features, quality of life stuff, etc. Something between “straight

I don’t know anything about this new game, but Octopath was a soulless grind wrapped in a neat art style, and I’m someone that marketing and nostalgia was aimed squarely at. Without that art style, the game never would have stood a chance.

I had a similar(ly insane) plan worked out for the next couple of months, and the last couple of weeks were focused on finishing my first FE: Three Houses playthrough in order to fully switch over to FFVIII Remastered and really enjoy that nostalgia trip. I managed to achieve that goal the day before FFVIII released,

For the first half of my playthrough, once every two or three chapters I would just put on a podcast and check with every single NPC to try to clear out my list. But it felt so much better to drop that shit, and I’ll never bother with them in my next playthroughs. If you really need the support points, buy gifts,

Hopefully they start adding in those classic JRPGs soon!

Did Nintendo address this Direct specifically for me? Tokyo Mirage Sessions? Divinity OS 2? Jedi Outcast? Obra Dinn? Overwatch? SNES games? More Smash characters?

Welp, time to buy this game for the third time. I think it’s a fantastic game that will fit perfectly with the Switch’s easy “I just want to play a couple matches in between tasks”, more so than the PS4's slow boot-up.

This children’s anime had better find a way to shoehorn in 1000+ creatures into roughly 50 half hour episodes, or I will be personally offended. In fact, I wish each episode was just a long chunk of the Pokerap and nothing else just to accomplish this goal.

I’m about halfway through the game, and for a while it was tolerable (but only because I modded in the orchestral versions). But man, it is just inexplicable (and more accurately, lazy) for every town to have the same music, for every boss to use the same dumb song, and to have almost every dungeon have the same song

Not yet, but it's on my list once I finish scaling the mountain of FE Three Houses! It also sounds like a fascinating game that I will forever regret not finishing.

I know, it’s bad! It’s extra strange because I love the world, so I played through 90% of the 3ds port but then just felt done and couldn’t force myself back. Part of it is that the time mechanic stresses me out, and I was also being a thorough completionist, so the combination just didn’t feel fun towards the end. I

I 100% felt that Majora’s Mask comment, that’s me...

Even though I know there’s no way this could happen, I really wish there was some kind of cross-save functionality for games this long. I originally bought the game on PC because a) it’s gorgeous in 4k and b) I modded the orchestral music in. But I’d love to be able to not only carry over my ~40 hours of progress onto
