I would’ve waited too, but I bought DQXI on PC (so I could mod the orchestral score in) a week before they announced the Switch port. Oh well, it’s gorgeous in 4k at least.

*hears about the new features and starts itching like a relapsed methhead*

Honestly? Same here. Like your list, I tend to have a few going at a time, with each having its own mood or purpose. Currently...

Let’s be real - rather than play the stressful gems that I’ve accumulated over the past few months and would love to get more into (Sekiro, Hollow Knight, etc), I’ll probably just spend more time brainlessly enjoying Squad Strike on Smash Ultimate, which is the best game mode that apparently nobody knows about.

I’d assume they’d stick with the USB C port for charging and output, but otherwise I agree. It makes a ton of sense to fuse the joy con into the main console to reduce costs, and maybe even remove a couple of extraneous features (hd rumble, ir sensor, etc).

Now even non-Switch players can feel completely underwhelmed!

The premise is cool, but something about the character design feels a little...bland? Boring? Like I’m excited by the idea of being a lone padowan, but not necessarily about being this specific character.

I don’t know what kind of wild logical backflip it took for you to get that my response affirmed you in any way, but that was definitely not the case. In the decade I’ve spent using Steam in one way or another, the software has gone from an innovative hub that gathered PC gaming into one space at a time when it needed

As I mentioned in the response above, I have paid Steam well over $300 over the lifetime of my Steam library, which more than pays for my continued usage of the library and big picture, neither of which have seen any significant development or improvement in years. Steam doesn’t pay anyone for me to load a non-Steam

According to a website that tracks the costs of your Steam library, I’ve paid Steam well over $300 as of the last time I checked. I’m not freeloading in the slightest and have certainly paid my dues to cherrypick the most useful parts of the program. On top of that, the portions of Steam I use were developed years ago

Actually, you can still retain access to your Steam library without supporting their business practices. I only use Steam Big Picture as a launcher for my library (I tried switching over to Launchbox for a while, but BP is still better for my needs). Since you can easily set the option to launch directly into your

Ooh man, if the Switch version included the expansions I’d have bought this in a heartbeat...

I’m consistently surprised and disappointed by EA’s continuous focus on live service features in their single player games like ME and DA, when such a critically and commercially successful example of a story-focused single player fantasy RPG has been out for years: Witcher 3. Even more recently, Sony's first party

The great thing about replaying FF7 so many times is that the flexibility of the materia system can let you do different types of ‘class’ runs. Last time I played, each character was given a specific class based on their traits (Cloud was a templar and could do limited healing / magic, Barret was a tank, Aeris was a

Same...I just replayed this on my Vita 2-3 years ago and I’ll still be buying it tonight. I’m a sucker.

I know, I’m at such a disadvantage for having to reach two feet from my chair to reach my USB charging cord and still be able to play while charging, or just leave it plugged in overnight and be fine for a week or two. I’ve really been missing out on the experience of buying / charging AA batteries in the last decade.

Seriously. My wife and I are currently looking into buying our first house, and I think we’d both love to have a greedy raccoon as our mortgage lender, especially since he lets you go months without paying a dime.

My Vita was also my first purchase from a big new job, and so I share some of that sentimentality. I’ve been using it less and less since I got the Switch at launch (although I modded the Vita a few months ago in order to be able to use microSD cards and add some extra PS1 games), but whenever I’m traveling for work
