That’s a good point actually. I always play solo and without chat, so healing and support probably (paradoxically) require the least direct collaboration with the rest of the team - I just need to be wherever I’m needed most at the moment and doing the most good.

I can understand that. I actually probably play 50% Mercy and 50% Orisa - I love the strategy of where to place shields to protect the team, how to grief the other team with her skills, etc.

To be fair, $40 is a more reasonable price for the ports of the ports of previous FFs. I love those games, but charging full price was bold.

I’ve played Overwatch on and off in bursts since it released, and I’ve found that I enjoy playing the healer and support roles much more than offensive roles, as I find it a lot more interesting for the same reasons that you mentioned. (It might also have something to do with the fact that I don’t actually play

To be fair, it’s a fascinating game - it’s hugely ambitious, the plot is actually very interesting and more mature and creative than most JRPGs, the characters are nuanced and relatable, and seeing the scope of the mech battles and cinematics are still exciting 30 hrs in. I really want to finish this game, but the

I keep hearing that the late game (and the final dungeon in particular) aren't great, so that's definitely not helping my enthusiasm...

A couple of years ago I had a godawful hour bus ride each way to my job, so I powered through a bunch of 3ds games and PS1 games on Vita that way. It was making the best of a shitty situation, but now that my commute is much shorter I rarely play games away from home unless I’m on a trip.

I’ve had this exact experience lately. Over the past few weeks I’ve been flying a lot for work (at least a trip a week) and since I was packing light I decided that this was an ideal time to bust out the Vita and make some more progress on Xenogears. That device is just fantastic for traveling like that, and the

I might be one of the few that is okay that the plot is reduced from P4:Dancing. That game’s plot felt slow, strange and way too long, even as someone who loved P4 enough to play through the whole thing a couple of times.

“Yo, I heard you like paid DLC, so we put paid DLC in your paid DLC."

I don’t know about Darksiders, but your analogy with the Arkham games is flawed - it’s generally considered that while Knight is the prettiest, biggest, and most refined of the three, it’s also bloated, has a far less interesting story with a ridiculously obvious plot twist (that was so obvious that the devs had to

Pirating new games is gross to begin with, but it’s extra disappointing for a game so full of passion, love, and sheer content as this one. I had no qualms paying full price for this preorder, and I’ll gladly pick up the dlc pass too, because I’m going to play the living shit out of this game. It's incredibly

Because they're at an incredibly low resolution. I'd love to see what artists could do to enhance them and add more detail to some of them. Or they could just redraw at a higher resolution and add subtle particle effects to make it feel vibrant.

I’d be much more tempted if it wasn’t 60 goddamn dollars, especially without bundling the expansions. $40 maybe, impulse buy at $30 even though I own it on PC, but $60? No way.

I know...if they’re going to dedicated most of their staff for 5+ years to a huge production, I’d much prefer that be XVI than a remake. As it is, I’m worried they haven’t learned any lessons and their production schedules will still stretch to the point where we’re lucky to get another mainline game every console

I would’ve been happy with a less extreme remake - update the 3d models to a better quality (up to FFX level of detail), redraw the background art, add some particle effects, fix the translation, add some bonus content and extra dungeons, etc. Finish the project in a year, sell a bazillion copies at $40 and port it to

This place is fantastic. I’ve only ever used the website, and it’s great. They have a huge range of items from classics to brand new games (I just got Diablo 3 and RDR2 using trade credit), and unlike most retro gaming sites I’ve tried their site is actually very well built. You can instantly see your trade estimate

It's not very effective...

Mr Mime may not be Ash’s dad, but Delia' definitely calls him daddy.

Celeste is throwing down with the big dogs! Definitely deserve it!
