I’ve had this exact experience lately. Over the past few weeks I’ve been flying a lot for work (at least a trip a week) and since I was packing light I decided that this was an ideal time to bust out the Vita and make some more progress on Xenogears. That device is just fantastic for traveling like that, and the

I might be one of the few that is okay that the plot is reduced from P4:Dancing. That game’s plot felt slow, strange and way too long, even as someone who loved P4 enough to play through the whole thing a couple of times.

“Yo, I heard you like paid DLC, so we put paid DLC in your paid DLC."

I don’t know about Darksiders, but your analogy with the Arkham games is flawed - it’s generally considered that while Knight is the prettiest, biggest, and most refined of the three, it’s also bloated, has a far less interesting story with a ridiculously obvious plot twist (that was so obvious that the devs had to

Pirating new games is gross to begin with, but it’s extra disappointing for a game so full of passion, love, and sheer content as this one. I had no qualms paying full price for this preorder, and I’ll gladly pick up the dlc pass too, because I’m going to play the living shit out of this game. It's incredibly

Glad this wasn't the case, if only to reduce the chances of seeing Vader / Boba porn. Their helmets sensually knock together...

Because they're at an incredibly low resolution. I'd love to see what artists could do to enhance them and add more detail to some of them. Or they could just redraw at a higher resolution and add subtle particle effects to make it feel vibrant.

I’d be much more tempted if it wasn’t 60 goddamn dollars, especially without bundling the expansions. $40 maybe, impulse buy at $30 even though I own it on PC, but $60? No way.

I know...if they’re going to dedicated most of their staff for 5+ years to a huge production, I’d much prefer that be XVI than a remake. As it is, I’m worried they haven’t learned any lessons and their production schedules will still stretch to the point where we’re lucky to get another mainline game every console

I would’ve been happy with a less extreme remake - update the 3d models to a better quality (up to FFX level of detail), redraw the background art, add some particle effects, fix the translation, add some bonus content and extra dungeons, etc. Finish the project in a year, sell a bazillion copies at $40 and port it to

This place is fantastic. I’ve only ever used the website, and it’s great. They have a huge range of items from classics to brand new games (I just got Diablo 3 and RDR2 using trade credit), and unlike most retro gaming sites I’ve tried their site is actually very well built. You can instantly see your trade estimate

It's not very effective...

Mr Mime may not be Ash’s dad, but Delia' definitely calls him daddy.

Celeste is throwing down with the big dogs! Definitely deserve it!

This is great. I’ve used Save to Inbox for a couple years, but with that email solution disappearing in a couple of months because Google destroys everything I love, I’m glad I’ll have a more integrated solution than a third party app I’ll inevitably forget about.

That’s too bad to hear. I’m still ‘early’ enough in this game (it’s so goddamn long though) that it’s really hard to tell if it will be able to hold my attention for another 50ish hours. The combat doesn’t really have the depth from what I can tell to hold me over that long (even though it is really cool), and the

I just expected that I was instantly killed by the bear, so when it just kept mauling me and I had to repeatedly stab it and barely survived, my nerves instantly were rattled. Doesn’t help that it ruined my favorite jacket and I had to ride back to camp with it shredded and covered in blood.

I’m a grown man, and getting mauled by that legendary bear was nerve-wracking for me as well, so I feel your daughter’s pain.

I completely agree. I’m only ~25 hrs in, and while I find parts of the plot and characters interesting and well done, there’s a lot around those pieces that just don’t hold up very well - I dread going into big cities because the camera is a nightmare and the wayfinding is godawful when every building looks the same

The best JRPGs were typically very good about not needing a guide most of the time. But I’ve been playing through Xenogears for the first time, and that game has some serious wayfinding / environmental design issues in just knowing where you need to go next, so I’ve spent half that game with a guide open on my phone.
