XV isn't finished, and considering the fact that they've already rereleased a two year old game to double dip AND made this secondary version, I don't think they learned a goddamn thing. In fact I think it's worse. I miss the pre-Nomura days when they had constraints and deadlines - the average development cycle for

The only possible benefit I can see in this is if this helps to convince them to start porting the classic FFs to Switch. They're already on Steam, which probably simplifies things a bit. Come on, you dumb bastards, for once just do the logical thing.

If the next Batman game could mix the Batman portions of the Arkham series with the character focus of the Telltale game, it could be legendary.

*points overhead* “Oh look, the point!”

So it sounds like this game has the same sort of ‘failings’ that the Arkham games had in my mind: they were nearly perfect Batman simulators, but felt a little hollow to me because they left out his other (and more interesting, in my opinion) half, Bruce Wayne. I wish that Arkham City / Knight would have started with

I always assumed that, like her suit, her ship was also from the Chozo, which is why it seems both so unique compared to others and also stylistically matches her suit.

Counterpoint: Nah.

Too bad the suit only spends half the time on Master Chief and the other half on somebody else. Hard to properly finish anything that way.

Polygon's article on this was more thorough, and they said that while the download links we're removed, the much larger issue is that they were ordered to remove the Wiki as well, which provided detailed instructions on how to properly use the tools. It sounds like that's a big loss for the community.

Ugh I’m feeling that same gravitational pull from DQ11, but I’m sure I’m probably just going to bounce off it quickly as well. Just have to resist the urge past the hype cycle...

Similarly, FFXIV made a big deal a while ago about surpassing 10 MILLION registered characters, but their current stats show 12.8m registered characters with only 620k active characters (players hitting a certain milestone to keep up with the main story). Every online game shrinks to an extent, plus in FF’s case some

There’s a whole mountain of JRPGs that I’ve started and bounced off very quickly, usually do to mountains of cliches, terrible pacing, or overcomplicated systems. I’ve given the first Trails in the Sky three different attempts, but never make it more than a few hours because it’s just so slow. Trails of Cold Steel

Interesting that they’re giving it away for free. I’m curious how the player base counts for Destiny 2 compare to the first game at this point after release? Given how little I hear about the game I’d guess it’s nowhere near the first game’s numbers and they’re getting nervous.

HOT DANG. Into the Breach, Undertale, and Hyper Light Drifter, all within a couple weeks? Especially after the phenomenal run they’ve had lately with Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, etc, indies are ruling my Switch lately and I’m loving it. (at least for the next couple of months until Smash Bros and Grandia 1&2 take over)

That long gunfight at the end where they showcased the different abilities...hot dang. I just went from mildly curious to nearly erect. Too bad a lot of the dialogue seems to be pretty boilerplate crime noir / gang stereotypes, but hopefully that gets better.

I think I noticed similar skin details on AC Origins, it’s really cool that we’re getting to that level of detail.

I’m 20 hours into my first replay of FFIX in a decade, and it continues to surprise me. I never really got into IX as much as the others, appreciating parts of the story while generally being bored by its fairly tame battle system, but something about this playthrough is clicking so much for me. The storytelling and

Over the past decade I’ve had a GBA SP, two DSes, two 3DSes, three PS3 controllers, two PS4 controllers, a Switch, two Switch Joy-cons and a Pro Controller, and a couple of 8bitdo controllers - all rechargeable, and never a single problem with any of them over their multi-year lifetimes. Oh no, the battery’s low?

XBOX ONE - GOD’S GIFT TO GAMERS, THE PINNACLE OF CONSOLE GAMING”*

I’m impressed by your commitment, but after playing the first game twice back in the day (the gameplay didn’t even feel great back then) I’ll never play it again just to avoid shattering my nostalgia for it. Mass Effect 2, on the other hand...I’ve been fighting off the urge to replay that for the fourth or fifth time
