What’s the difference between black pudding and blood sausage?

Invariably the potato scone, fruit pudding, lorne sausage and Scottish black pudding is slightly different from English black pudding (there are several slightly different recipes of black pudding).

Not real haggis. Had it in puff pastry or a small egg roll as an appetizer. And I have had it as part of a full fry-up in round sausage form, same shape as the black pudding, or looser in a little mound. But never real haggis as an actual meal. When I get it, it just tastes like some non-descript sausage.

I was in Scotland for a week and it was an act of will to limit myself to one full Scottish breakfast.

You almost got it right - if over-medium then you can dip the whole thing in the rich, delicious yolk that spills out on to your plate...

how can i be tactful when i say cheddar is not vegan?

My sister who feels the same way you do about pepperoncini did use dill pickle juice to make this roast (although slow cooker rather than pressure cooker) and it worked for her. Good luck!

I understand. It’s so frustrating! I racked my brain at one point thinking, I had been banned? I could not figure out why? I always try not to get into troll fights.

Interesting -- I didn’t actually thoroughly test anything, I just switched my DNS lookup away from my Pihole and it came back so I assumed that was it. Good to know!

Comments stopped playing nicely with certain ad- or tracker-blocking tech; I use a DNS-based blocking system, and I had to exempt anything GMG/Kinja-related to get them back.

Are you using Firefox perhaps? I actually wrote a blog article about this on my own blog, which Firefox refuted. You need to disable tracking protection--that little shield in the URL bar next to the padlock. Click on that, then click on disable and refresh the page. That should bring back most missing comment…

You’re not the only one. I’m having the same problem. I’m still able to see and post comments on Splinter. Not sure what is going on? My fav. food column also.
